I went to Rasoi again today. It is my 5th time dining there in the past week and a half. I have been in need of... flavorful/spicy food and they have not disappointed. Everything I?ve had has always been excellent and all of the staff aresuper friendly. Overall, an awesome experience. I will say that I was second guessing my choice when I requested my chickenvindaloo to be spicy, ?Indian spicy?. The food was extremely flavorful despite being way hotter than I had hoped (still ate itall in one sitting). Next time I?ll just stick with ?spicy?. Again though, everything is wonderful. This food is so good!! I by no means claim to remember what authentic Indian food tastes like but I was an exchange student in... Hyderabad 10+ years ago and this food brings back memories. I ordered the Patel naan (owner specialty- it IS special, so good),the Kashmiri vegetarian biryani mild (comes with delicious raita that I ate before taking a photo!), and paneer tikka masalamedium (similar to paneer butter masala?) which came with more basmati rice. All of it is so good. I want to try all their foodsnow. On top of the food being amazing the service was also amazing! I ordered delivery through grubhub on a weeknight. Wasinformed there may be a delay, which I totally understood, but then the food wasn?t even delayed! They really did get it to meASAP. I?m actually not a vegetarian but I lived with vegetarians in India and I?m here to tell all you non-veg people: try thevegetarian food!! You will love it!! We loved this place! I decided to try something new in the area. I hadn't been to an Indian restaurant in Virginia and decided... to give this one a try. I ordered the Shahi Chicken Tikka (a little spice but not too much), Lamb Sheekh Kebab (delicious!),Garlic Naan (melts in your mouth) and the Lamb Samosas (Life changing!) My mouth is watery thinking about this ????. I don'tknow if the mildly sweet sauce included in the order was for the samosas but I dipped them in there and it was super tasty. Idon't normally like ordering through Doordash because the food gets cold on the way but food was still hot and I live 15 minutesfrom the restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. Our meals were delicious and plentiful. The garlic naan was superb! The waitstaff... was able to answer all our questions, specifically about the spice level. There were many vegan and vegetarian choices on themenu.
