Good heavens, this place in downtown Chesley, Ontario, was simply terrible and had less than tasty food. Metal eating utensils... felt a tad sticky as did the ketchup bottle. Ordered Sheppard's Pie...simply the worst I have ever attempted to eat. The 2 hillsof obviously instant mashed potatoes were just barely warm, which covered perhaps a tablespoon of bargain brand frozen mixedvegetables, that was hiding a tablespoon of beige mystery meat that I assume was hamburger, although it did come swimming insome sort of no name brand of beige powder mix gravy. I was able to eat about 4 or 5 fork fulls of this dismissal luncheonbefore pushing it away. The table for two was adequate but again even the seating was unappealing. The washroom appeared to beclean, but I must confess I used a disposable toilet seat cover as I certainly did not want to risk it especially in these coviddays. I give this place at most, a 1 out of 5 stars for food, service, and ambiance. Obviously and honestly I will never be backin this diner and am sorry to say that I do not recommend it at all. Stopped in for dinner once and I find myself wanting to go back again and again! Good food, good price and excellent service!... You should definitely try it if you are passing through Chesley or living here and looking for a simple place to dine out. Read more

I liked the practicality and straightforwardness of the server. Food tasted very home-y and very tasty. Soups was sooo yummy.
