Our first time here the night they lit the stars! Great food, especially the burger, very nice ambiance, and very welcoming... servers. Only reason didn\'t rate it 5 starts is their wine menu. Two things I would recommend changing. First, have more winesby the glass; and, second, and more importantly, have more reasonably priced chardonnays by the bottle, say around $35. Thechard we had was a Russian River, which was delicious but cost $58. That\'s too much really. Thanks. Read more

Went there on a Monday night and sat at the bar. We had a lovely experience and will definitely be going back. The service was... very hands on and personal and the food was definitely seasonal and delicious. The owner Chelsey, made us our cocktails andshared her story a bit and her vision has created an atmosphere with a great vibe. We didn’t love every course, but that wasmore personal tastes than a failure in the kitchen. It’s clear they play with the menu to keep things seasonal and creativewhich I personally appreciate. There are so many cookie cutter menus around us that this was a breath of fresh air. Willdefinitely return and recommend to anyone looking to support locally owned restaurants with passion for what they serve. Read more

On our first visit to downtown Chester, we had a lovely dinner at the charming Village Bistro! My fiancé and I were sat... sweetheart style in an adorable spot near the front window. I loved the historical feel here, and felt like it was a morerelaxed, yet elegant spot, for fine dining. We tried some dishes that were new to us, like the plum toast and roasted squash, and enjoyed some classics with a flair, like the rigatoni alla vodka. This version had Calabrian chili in it, which gave it anice flavor without being overly spicy. The duck breast was cooked perfectly, and the whole meal had an essence of fall flavors. The grilled plums and cookies and cream pots de creme with both great for dessert. I would love to bring my mom here sometimefor a special occasion, or to explore downtown Chester again, because it’s totally her vibe! We will absolutely be back. Read more

Amazing, cute little brunch spot (also open for dinner) in Chester, CT. The food was delicious: the duck Benedict and brunch... burger were to die for! It’s has a fine cuisine vibe, nestled in a nice rural CT/New England village. (Take advantage of theirGoogle offer for Sunday brunch before August 30th.) We will definitely be back! Read more

My husband and I came for dinner tonight and had an amazing experience! The ambiance of the restaurant is so welcoming and I... love the character. The staff are so nice! Our waitress and the bartender were so friendly and gave us great recommendations! Myhusband and I both started with the tequila cocktail, and then he got the hucklecherry Finn, both very good. We got the steaktar tar as an appetizer, I got the duck and my husband the Asian noodle dish with pork belly and egg. Hands down one of the bestduck dishes I’ve ever had. SOOO good. My husband loved his meal and we both agreed the steak tar tar was equally as delicious. These are smaller portions but they have HUGE flavor. We will definitely come back. Read more

The drinks and food were equally as incredible, following with me ordering seconds.I’m very particular in regards to hummus and this one made from scratch blew any other hummus that I’ve tried out of thewater! End of story, get in your veggie count for the day too and order some of those yummy charred snow peas- can I say yummy? You’ve never had them doctored up like this! ???? You won’t be disappointed. Get your seat reserved already and make areservation because you truly won’t be disappointed ?? Read more
