Every other Wednesday night is Karaoke Night! So much fun singing Karaoke songs and drinking beers! Only $7.00 for a pitcher of... Bud Light! The bartenders are great and the partying is so much fun! A great time! Smoking patio out back too! It's a Collegebar (Widener University students mostly) but it's a good bar! Bar food too until 11pm or so... Come out for Karaoke! Read more
Cool vibe!! Cheap drinks and the air conditioning was on point lol!! For &17 I had a 2 gin a tonic, 1 wine cooler and a beer. I... thought $17 was a steal!!! I went on a Sunday around 6 and it was only 1 other guy in there!!!the bartender wasn't really thatsocial or welcoming but he made good drinks and I tipped him. For a small college bar it fits just the right amount of people. Even on its most crazy night (Thursday's beat the clock) you... can always find room to stand and people to talk to. They have various games like cornhole and darts and an outside smoking areawhich is very convenient. I've never had any issues wih the bartenders but on Thursdays Ryan can get a bit cranky but it'sunderstandable when it's sooo crowded and everyone is waving their hands at you for a drink. Read more
Another gem hiding in plain site!! We see it every time we drive down I-95 towards Chester. Maggie May?s, she?s worth the effort... to get off 95 and weave thru the neighborhood. Jeff is the (one of the) owner, bartender, cook and not rude (in contrast tocomments on google maps). As you can see in pics, the CS is small. But so is the price and it does taste good. The roll was bigand bread which is what you want after a long day of drinking. Very good overall experience!! Read more
My friends and I refer to this as Chester's Crown Jewel. This is absolutely one of the nicest and safest neighborhoods in the... whole city. While the curb appeal is nothing to write home about, step inside to a very well-kept neighborhood public house.There is a nice long bar on one side and a raised seating area on the other. Very cool decor all around with a ton of localcharacter. 5 stars for ambiance! The food here is fantastic and they have some really great specials such as a burger+ a beerfor $6.(I wish I went to college and had a bar nearby that had deals like that!) 5 stars for the edibles! Awesome tap list! Theyhave a great selection always with local brews when they can get them(slim pickins'). Certainly 5 stars for liquids! Service:Whilst I've scored 5 stars for each category up to this point, I must end by talking about the service you'll get here. It's theepitome of world-class. There haven't been words invented yet to describe how friendly the bartenders are here.(I'm mainlytalking about Chris but they're all great.) Maggie's is really a fixture in the neighborhood. Their food is both delicious and reasonably priced and they have a great... selection of beers on tap and in bottles.
