Whenever my parents come up here, they eat lunch and dinner at this place the whole trip. When I decided to vacation, I was told... 8million times that I had to visit and was even given hand written instructions on how to get there ?just so I remembered.? Irolled my eyes and promised to go?.and they were right! I ended up here two nights in a row. The food was amazing! So manydishes that I had never heard of or had the opportunity to try. Plus it was inexpensive, easily the most affordable meal I hadmy entire trip. Basically, if I lived closer, my kitchen would be decorative. I?d just come here every day! Showed up Friday night after a long day of driving and getting settled in our B&B. Ended up sitting at the bar, sounds like... reservations are a good idea, the place was filled up. Delicious food! I got the meat pie. Full of flavor, the carrots andpeas were yummy with creamy potatoes. Read more
I wasn't looking for this place but I'm glad I found it. My wife and I were out on the motorcycle and ready for a pitstop and... this place was perfect for that. We only got an appetizer and a drink, both were good and the bartender was great. We'lldefinitely be back for lunch/dinner, drinks and good conversations. Check this place out. Read more
I LOVE this pub. The food is incredible. Be brave and try the haggis, it's much more palatable than people think! Save room for... the sticky toffee pudding because it's not too be missed. Combine this with a great beer and scotch list and it's a truewinner... and remember to haste ye back! Read more

This is always a fun place to go but it wasn't as hopping as I expected it to be during alumni weekend for some reason. There's... a good variety of food a great variety of beer and brews cozy setting. Check out the huge sword on the wall! I'm surprised it'snot one of those places where if you wear a tie that they cut it off you and stick it on the ceiling! I expect that! It's verymemorable experience. I understand that taking reservations now it used to be you just popped in but they do have a nice deck soyou can eat outside too. Read more
The service was great. No complaints even though they only had one waiter working at the time. With all the good reviews, I... thought the food was going to be outstanding. It was just alright though. The beers were good. I got the beef pie and my S/Ogot the Auld Reekie stew. The food was cooked very homestyle, but it also tasted somewhat plain; nothing was really remarkablethat stood out from the dishes. If you are a fan of light tasting food though, you might really like this place. Maybe we justgot the wrong dishes. Read more
Stopped in briefly for lunch with my family on the way home after visiting friends nearby and absolutely loved the look and... warmth and ambiance of the place. Very homey and unique with a vibe that makes you feel like you've stepped into an old pubsomewhere across the Atlantic. The staff were polite and kind too, despite being short-staffed at the time. Tasty food overalland a nice selection of beers and scotches as well, and a decent kids menu (and high chairs) if you've got some little ones withyou. I can happily recommend it, and we'll definitely try to stop in again on our next venture into southern VT. Read more
