Now this is one of those 'if I could give ZERO STARS ? I would. I usually frequent the Manhattan Bagel in the Tractor ???? &... Supply place near my home in Rhondda about once a week. (They recognize me when I walk in, and know what I usually order. AndI've always them given a 5 ? review with the 'if I could give 6 stars ? if I could'). Now back to my review. The owner/manager is horribly rude. He will not accept an alteration to a sandwich, which it clearly states that substitutions... are welcome on the menu. I asked for the bacon to not be added to my sandwich and he said I would have to be charged still forthe bacon. Not adding the bacon creates less work for the employee making the sandwich. On more than one occasion he has made mefeel uncomfortable and has been rude to me. He?s unwelcoming and miserable. Based off of him I will never be going back to thislocation. Read more
I was in the mood this morning for a nova lox bagel... then I wondered why in the hell this place has 2.6 stars it's "Manhattan... Bagel".. reminded me that I was there a couple months ago ..I ordered online..so when I got to the store my order wasn't evenready and there was a few people in line. So I stood there for 10 minutes. Then my order was finally ready.. I got to my car andopened the bag and realized there was no lox or the other add ins that come with.. just a plain cream cheese bagel. So I wentback in to the store and wondered why did i spend $13 for this? Clearly shows on receipt what I actually ordered. So I juststood there again waiting for another 10 minutes while they slapped a bit of salmon on there and handed back to me. That's why Inever went back there again. I love manhattan bagel so much. Sadly, this branch of the franchise is very dysfunctional. I come to this one a lot and the... owner has always been very rude. Today is the last time I will be going to this Manhattan bagel. I started my order and he wavedhis finger at me to stop multiple times. But that was not what made me realize how awful they are at their job. I got home tothe complete wrong order! Instead of a sausage egg and cheese, I got a bacon egg and cheese. on top of that, I ordered anotheregg and cheese sandwich with pork roll and bacon. what I got was ONLY pork roll and bacon. I understand no one is perfect. thisorder was shockingly wrong and the worst part is the owner was rude the whole time taking the order. how about you focus on theorder rather than being rude to your customers? Pro: Food quality is good. One of my favorite bagels around. Con: the guy behind the counter, presumably the manager or... owner. You need to double and triple check your order with him. Consistently Mis-charges, especially if a coupon is involved. On separate Occasions he has made things up like ?coupons don?t exist or expired? even when you receive them in the mail the daybefore and don?t expire for 60 days. had a ?buy 6 get 2 bagels free? coupon and he ?forgot? the two free bagels until I calledhim on it. Two weeks later my wife went in with a 20% off coupon, and he told her he applied it until she asked for thereceipt, and it showed he hadn?t. If you call him out on it, he provides some attitude but does make it right. In the past, wehave seen other questionable charges, and based on reviews we are not alone. Terrible customer service. Went in at 12:45 pm on Sunday and it said they close at 2. Ordered and the employee came from behind... the counter and grabbed my cup and told me I need to fill it up with the iced coffee I just purchased now because he is closingit down for the day. He filled it and took all the creamers without asking me If i was going to use any. He then proceeded todump all the coffee?s in the sink and let them drain over an hour before closing. I stood in awe and honestly was too stunned tospeak as I would understand if it was 20 mins til closing but it was over an hour away. He then proceeded to keep telling me hewants to go home and wishes the store was closed to which i did not respond. I received my bagel sandwich after and went to thecar. I opened the sandwich and there was maybe 1 egg if that with maybe 1 piece of bacon (ordered bacon egg and cheese on abagel). Would not recommend ever going here again as it was a terrible experience and a waste of money. Read more
