This was listed as a Top Cocktail bar in the area. Having never heard of it we headed out for a new adventure. I would not call... this a cocktail bar as I define them. This was a more typical bar, bar. Lots of beer and appetizers. They were unable to makethe signature Maple Syrup Old Fashioned due to lack of ingredients. All that said I was disappointed as I judged it as acocktail bar. I may venture back to try the food with more realistic expectations. Read more
Each night they have dinner specials. This Wednesday special was a small steak and baked potato. Pretty good meal for $8.95

I'm always happy to go here for lunch when I'm in the area. They seem to always have some kind of special going that's not on... the menu, and it's usually quite good. The photo shows their Chicken BLT, with a side of fries. Now who would have thought toput a chicken breast on a BLT? It was actually a great combination. And the fries? They were done perfectly - possibly thebest I've ever had! Satchmo's is my go-to place for lunch in this area. Read more
Mother load!! My steak was not cooked med/well had to send back and still not right. Mashed potatoes were good. For the love... of God the bathroom smelled like a truck driver used it and it was dirty. Nobody was there but the Mexican restaurant next wasbusy busy. Should of been a clue. Was out in Chesterfield having a quick bite with a friend and we decided on Satchmo’s, Wednesday night they have a steak... special that is pretty good. They also have other weekly specials, live music on the weekends, outdoor seating in the front anda decent selection of beers. Read more

It's an ok place. They have nightly specials, and probably the only reason I go is that Thursday is burger night. You can get... a 6oz burger and fries for $5, with the purchase of a drink. That's pretty cheap, actually cheaper than eating at McDonalds andthe burger is better than McDonalds. Unfortunately, that's about as high praise as I can give them. When we went it wassomewhat late, so the place wasn't busy and I think we were the only people there at that point ordering food. Still, tookquite awhile for our food to come out. One of our burgers was under cooked, showing red even though that one was supposed to bewell done. And I asked for a baked potato, which came out cold enough that it wasn't even melting the butter. Beware of thewith purchase of a drink clause, too. They serve Pepsi products, so if you're looking for something nonalcoholic, there's nogood options there either. Read more
