The butterbeer is as good as you imagined! Everything about the Harry Potter event was amazing. I can't recommend the pasty... enough, the crust is legitimately the best pastry cust I've ever had. The cream tea was also a highlight, we chose lemon curdand gooseberry jam to go with the traditional clotted cream and all three were delicious. The service was even better than thefood. Seriously, Not even worth one star but in order to post we have to. We just have to say something about Perky Kettle. Just... Don't. Do yourself a favor and keep on driving by this place! It is awful. What a way to ruin your good day. The "food" wasterrible, the service s.l.o.w., dirty, way understaffed, and Very poorly managed. Our family met there (big mistake) while inthe area visiting. If you read good reviews about this place, don't believe any of them. What we ordered was "we're outtathat". Pick something else.."we're outta that too". "Nope we don't have that either." Water glasses were never refilled. Ittook for..ev..er for the food to arrive; at long intervals in between for everyone! We had to all eat at different times. Theyhave no clue about food allergies and how to accommodate or knowledgeable about anything. Horrible experience. Verydisappointing and too much money for that. On top of that, a tip is tacked on automatically whether satisfied or not. We weretreated rudely by the "manager" and nothing was done to accommodate or make amends. What a cute place! I had to drop my car off at the shop and found this place on the map and they had me from Alice. I'm a sap... and I did cry a bit at how thought out each room was but whimsical and scattered and Alice in wonderland theme every where. Imade us Reservations but we got there early. I loved the Mimosa, the prosecco was fresh and was very good. Our server wasextremely nice and helpful picking out my husband's dinner, my mind was set on the lemon ???? mint pasta before I left thehouse. Holy cow! I'm not a mint fan and even my husband said huh when I ordered it, WOW! I'm not sure what mint they chosebut it went extremely well with the lemon and bow tie pasta and it was unlike anything I have ever tried. My husband got theBalmoral ceapaire and he absolutely loved it. We also enjoyed watching the sunset with a pot of oolong tea, and short breadcookies were the best we ever had. My mom and dad met some family hear for brunch and the food was disappointing and overpriced. The service was poor and they... don’t make accommodations for food allergies. The bathroom and kitchen were very dirty. The tea selection was nice and thefamily time was great but I’d recommend another location. Also, they add a 10% gratuity automatically to your bill. There was only one server for the restaurant and patio. Food was average. We ordered the afternoon tea. Although the menu Said a... pot of tea was included, we still were charged for the pot of tea. We were given 3 tiny sandwiches, 2 scones, 2 pieces ofshortbread, 1 macaroni, and half of a chocolate sweet for $25. We were unable to go into the restaurant because it's notaccessible for handicapped. We made plans to come back in a year if it's still there. Read more

The Perky Kettle is simply whimsical. I visit every two weeks to catch up with a friend and enjoy some delightful food. I love... the afternoon tea and their large selection of tea varieties. Although, lately I have been a big fan of the quiche with greensand marigold vinaigrette. I wish them continued success in Chesterland! Read more
