I had dinner at The Kitchen on November 25, the day after Thanksgiving. Sat at the bar with friends. I was entertained as well... as served by the bartender who regaled us with trivia questions. I ordered Steak Frites and substituted green beans for theFrites. I have ordered the Frites( French Fries) and they are fabulous as well. The meat, which can be tough if not cookedwell, was excellent as were the green beans. Price was excellent, and there was good selection of reasonably pricedwines. The only addition I wish they had were warm specialty drinks for the winter season. This restaurant is a greatexperience and should be included in your visit to Chestertown, Md. Read more

Well the first thing we were greeted with was a strange odor. Then the bartender on his knees feeding a dog. Should have left... but we were starving. I got the special which was lasagna. It was disappointing with a sour taste. The portion size was smalland that was it, no bread no salad. The girlfriend got the brown trout with bacon wrapped. The bacon over powered the fish andthe veggies portions were small, like 5 green beans. She was also disappointed. Read more

Ate outside in patio as pictured. Menu had a wide variety, prices a little high. It was a busy day in town, staff a little... disorganized and made us move tables. Overall good. Read more

We were there for a group event and while the staff was great, the food was mediocre. Had a roast beef sandwich that was... tasteless with a brioche bun that had sat out too long and got crusty. Chocolate bread pudding was very good. Read more

Crab dip and brussel sprouts were great. We had a party of six and after every thing had been plated the chef realized they... hadn't done the rabbit ragu. They were out. They asked if I would want lamb Bolognese which I said yes. I was prettydisappointed in the dish. The noodles were good but the plating left something to be desired as did the taste. It was noodleswith sauce on top. Fairly disappointing for $28. The other meals were plated nicely and everyone said they were good. Read more

Stopped in for an impromptu date night. Atmosphere was really neat, we sat in the back room. 2 drinks, entree, and split app and... dessert: very reasonable prices. The wait staff was very friendly, and spoke highly of the chef's creations. Read more
