Where do I begin? This was the worst experience in my life. First of all, the experience was slow as hell. Took fifteen minutes... to get sloppy, dry and unsatisfying nachos. The jerk wings was dry as hell. Is that seasoning called jerk on them? Disgusting.Somebody will like them. Not me. Shrimp and grits was just a bowl of slop. And where do I begin on the Cornish Hen. Bad enougha Cornish hen is small, but they got the nerve to serve you half a Cornish hen with a basic sauce and the smallest portion ofrice and veggies? Don't waste your money here. Best place in town for a relaxed atmosphere and excellent comfort food. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits, pictured here.... I also recommend starting with a soup and a cocktail, finish with some local oysters or one of the dinner specials and a glassof wine, you won't be disappointed whatever you choose. We loved Uncle Charlie's Bistro! Everything in the Cioppino was cooked to perfection and the cream of crab soup was tasty and... included plenty of crab. Do yourself a favor and finish off your meal with a slice of Key Lime pie, which is big enough toshare. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the music was fun. What a treasurer Uncle Charlie?s is! We came here after visiting the farmers market in Chestertown. Just a short 3 minute drive... up the road from the Farmers Market. We had a large group, and they graciously seated all of us very comfortably. The food wasincredible! I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was the most tender beef ever. The rest of our group of 13 all enjoyed theirfood as well. Wow, everything was delicious. The service was great, we received refills, and they were so kind to our kids.Can?t wait to visit again! Got lucky veggie of the day was my favorite: Broccolinici. Also was build your burger night which I also love so I made an... awesome bacon cheese burger with a the good stuff they even had the grilled mushroom that I love in burgers !!! I made one photoper burger layer lol to make a gif maybe one day lol. All fresh never frozen according to the friendly owner who came out tocheck on different customers including myself. I tipped a little more so they offered me the second piece of cake free that Iwanted to buy to take home (awesome homemade key lime pie and cheesecake for sure and the others sounded great too). I hope tocome back to travel more in this area so I can try more of this awesome food place ???? unfortunately I had time to go onlyonce.
