Tequila shrimp was $27 and NOT sweet or tasty BUT salty and off taste. Shrimp is obviously old and stale and frozen. Shrimp... guacamole appetizer was advertised as $16 but was charged $18. Shrimp was tough old and was thrown in as bits and pieces.Guacamole was good, but DO NOT get the shrimp. Shrimp is like chewing on stylophone. Good food and service in a bright and cheerful setting. The chips had both hot and cold dips and the Steak Quesadillas ($15.95)... were delicious. Conveniently located by the Tenleytown Metro. Read more
Not sure what was in the air here but the service was ridiculously slow, it seemed like they forgot to put our order in because... people who came after us were getting their entire meals served before us. After waiting for what seemed like forever, the foodwas below average .. the waterfront location seems like the only reason this place is still running. Read more
Today not so good. Tasty but made my tummy upset. The fajitas beef tasted great but it was under cooked. They burnt it and... returned it well done. I asked for medium. Everything was ok for texmex. The place was packed. The tres leches was not asfantastic as it was in the summer. It must be a new baker. The top frosting was compacted onto the cake as if it fitted acontainer and freezing. The bread section was more granular. The coffee seemed a bit bland not as rich as in the summer. Iwould come just for coffee and cake. In general it tasted good but i got sick. Read more
Great Mexican food! They have a large menu with many good options. Classics like tacos, enchiladas and fajitas are sure to... please. I found that they are very fast bringing the food out too which is really nice. Plenty of indoor and some outdoorseating as well. Excellent service rounds it all out! Read more
Great service. This location has outdoor tables w/large umbrellas for shading. Servers all wearing masks. Masks required inside,... except when eating, of course. On-street metered parking using coins or Park Mobile app. Covered parking lot nearby for localshops. Guapo's may validate. Food was decent. We ordered El Paso tacos (2 chicken & 1 beef), chicken & spinach quesadilla ????,a side of rice & black beans, and a coke. Food lukewarm. Sides were cold. Refried beans looked and tasted like pureed. I’ve been here many times and the food is always good! I tried their “Tacos Mexicanos” and their Sangrita today. The food... and drinks were great and the servers were all friendly. Great restaurant right off the metro. Highly recommend! Read more
Guapos is awesome. They are always consistent with the quality of their good. This location is one of my favorites.
