Went to Ali’s Nihari for lunch and loved it. It’s a clean, spacious, and family friendly restaurant serving halal... Pakistani cuisine on Devon avenue . The service was fast and the food arrived quickly. We ordered Nihari, tandoori naan , andmutton pulao. The nihari was delicious. Really enjoyed with fresh tandoori naans. The mutton pulao was also flavorful with manymutton pieces. Enjoyed our lunch and will be back to try other things from their menu. Read more
Went with my family on a weekend, the place was full but they were able to quickly seat us. Service is really good and food is... tasty. A good option for Halal BBQ on Devon Street now.We tried the mixed grill platter and it was more than enough for ourfamily. Tried this place on June 19, 2022 around 8 pm after hearing a lot of positive stuff. Ordered Nalli Nihari, Chicken pakoras,... vegetable samosas, mutton biryani and naan. First thing: the portion sizes are huge. The nihari is enough for atleast 4 people.The staff is friendly and courteous. The place got really busy but I can understand why. Food was outstanding. The Nihari wasrich and delicious. Chicken pakoras were lightly battered and came out fresh. Mutton biryani was spiced perfectly. Vegetablesamosas were delectable. Drove all the way from Naperville to have the famous nalli nihari that everyone has been raving about. Yeah- not worth the hype... at all. I think Tasty Nihari in Schaumburg is way better in taste, quality, and quantity. The taste here was lacking majoreffort, no “marrow” in the bone marrow. Literally there were 2 small pieces of bone marrow and only one bite came from it.Then you have the audacity to charge $20.00 for this excluding tax. The meat was dry as well. The naan and tandoori roti weordered was OK, nothing special at all! Seemed dry to me. I didn’t even bother ordering more and thank God I didn’t. Idon’t believe I’ll ever be back again. I honestly believe I am being generous by giving them 2 stars. So sad because I wassooo happy to come here and was holding it off for weeks. Read more
This restaurant needs to fix their menu as it offers merely handful of items that can be tried and even the one’s that are... ordered aren’t that great at all. The samosas were decent, the naan is fresh and good, but the bihari kebab, haleem, Malaitikka, biryani were entirely off. They need to find a way how to enhance this because none of the entrees and main course itemswere even edible. The staff is very polite and perhaps the only positive about this place. Read more

Winter of Chicago, you crave for some hot spicy nihari to fill your appetite to compensate the weather with family then Ali’s... Nihari is your door to bon-appetite. The portion is quite large for two. Which makes little less opportunity to try other itemson the menu. food unless you are consuming half and rest taking it a doggy bag. The service and food are really good.I went for lunch and ordered paratha, mutton Karahi, chicken pakora, tea and falooda. The... Partha is large in size. One is enough for one. person.I like the mutton Karahi the most because of its well cooked meat andit’s really delicious. But the falooda is not that much good what I’ve expected. The vermicelli was frozen inside thefalooda. Otherwise it’s a good place to try Indian food in Devon. Read more
