The beet salad is one of the best things I have put in my mouth. Have never had a bad dish there. The service was weird and... slow but I think it was because they were down a server. They comped my drinks to make up for how long it took to get them. That really was a one off - usually get fantastic service. Read more
First time here. Last minute reservations but it was nice. The food was good but not hot. My steak and eggs was just warm like... it had been sitting. Had to send my meal back because the server didn’t ask how i wanted them so then were sunny side up and ihad to ask for it to be scrambled. My steak was cold by then. My husbands food was tasty. He had the chilacates. His food waswarm as well. Had to get them to remake it because it was a label was in his meal. The picture below shows the label. Took astar off cause the manager didn’t take it off the bill. Omg the star here was the French toast. I would come back for thatfor sure. The servers were very nice , slow but nice. Paid $18 for unlimited mimosa but he was coming out very slow to refillthe glass with the champagne. I had the juice at the table and the server would refill my glass when he walked passed and seenit low problem was , he wasn’t walking enough. I do want to give them a chance for dinner. Ascione Bistro is the perfect spot for Sunday brunch. The food is delicious, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They make... their own Limoncello. No matter what the weather, they accommodate both indoor and outdoor seating. I have added 2 pics of DaBreakfast Burger, which comes with fries. Reservations are suggested for the brunch. Read more
The atmosphere was great and the environment gives you that trendy restaurant that you would see a set of friends in their 20s... having brunch. In fact, we did see just that. We went for the unlimited mimosa and brunch. My companion who normally doesn’tlike “fancy” food enjoyed the brunch while the salmon was a bit over cooked. I would certainly recommend Ascione Bistro, myonly concern was that the hostess informed us we would need to leave at certain time. While we were late for our RSVP, I checkbefore arriving late to ensure they still have plenty of reservations and they did. The hostess limitation was off putting,especially as we saw plenty of walk ins arrive and be seated. Also, while I enjoyed the outdoor space I would have preferredindoors due to the temperatures outside. Read more
Service was great and so was the food! I got the gnocchi and it tasted so fresh and amazing! It was so rich and honestly some of... the best gnocchi I've had. Also got some chocolate cake for dessert which was super rich and absolutely delicious! Theatmosphere was super fun too. I would definitely recommend for a date night in Hyde Park. Read more
Great brunch! We didn't have a reservation, but they worked is in easily. Had a great gnocchi with a poached egg and pork belly.... A cappuccino to wash it down. My girl had the breakfast burger with Italian fries which was great. Not pictured, but the burgerand fries were great. Definite must in Hyde Park! Read more
Great, great service, food and drinks!! This place is a gem! If you haven’t checked it out, what are you waiting for?!! ????... We celebrated being alive, leaving Covid behind and this place was the perfect place. Made us feel welcome and comfortable! Great food, and friends! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Cheers! Brunch here is a steal compared to their dinner menu with delicious items and the option of $18 bottomless mimosa. I went for... the pasta and the prosciutto & burrata: - basil pesto brunch gnocchi (replaced w linguini, delicious, flavorful) - tagliolini(fragrant truffle flavor, noodles not el dente) - linguini carbonara (weakest of the three pasta) - prosciutto & burrata(delicious, cant go wrong, had a piece of plastic in it) When I told the waiter that there was a piece of plastic in the saladwhich I chewed on and almost swallowed (it was the cap of their sauce bottle), the waiter took it back to the kitchen. We waiteda long time the manager. Another waitress came around ask us to pay and we told her what happened and that we were waiting for aresponse from the restaurant, she looked us like we did smt wrong and didn’t share another words and just walked away. The guyin the table next to us saw what happened and offered to vouch for us (thank you!). Long while later manager came showing us thebill and suggested 50% off the item that had plastic in it. I was shocked that he tried to bargain at all and request that atleast the item should be comp. He countered and asked we enjoyed the food which was not the point here. I simply gave him thecard and told him that i loved the food but having plastic in food is not a dismissible offense and it’s his business decisionto make. He ended up taking the item off the bill but the experience was unpleasant overall. I love the food and I wish theyjust apologized for the mistake, at least took the item off the bill without making me countering them at all. Read more
