Literally sitting at the table eating my last bites of pizza, and I am not a person that writes many reviews, but oh my goodness... this place was amazing ! Off the beaten path in a cute neighborhood, the owner came out and was super friendly and so helpfulafter knowing it was our first time here. We both got stuff pizza, which was amazing and the sauce on top was one of the bestsauces I've ever had in my life. We also added an Italian beef sandwich and when I say it was the best sandwich I've ever had inmy life, I'm not exaggerating! I had one of the worst customer service experiences yesterday at the Taylor Street location. I ordered for pick up on their... website and when I got to the restaurant the lady working at the counter told me she didn’t have my order. Apparently,Bacci’s uses a 3rd party service (Slice) for online orders (THEIR website directly takes you there) and there was a glitch intheir communication. No worries, i understand that things can happen, but this lady completely dismissed me. She kept repeating“I don’t have your order.” Well ok then, can you refund my money??? She says “No, you went thru a 3rd party. ContactSlice for your money.” Say what now??? I tried to show her the text messages showing my order and she walked away from me.Mind you, the restaurant was empty. Even the cook was like “what’s your order? I’ll make it right now.” And she tellshim she doesn’t have my order. I reply to the confirmation text that I’m at the restaurant and having trouble getting myfood. A minute later their phone rings and she says “that’s probably them calling now.” Well it was. And she tells themto check the device they are using because it’s not working. This woman never attempted to rectify the situation with me andacted like it was my fault for using a third party service when it was THEIR website that uses the third party service! Finally,my order is ready (about 45 min. since I initially placed the order online). She hands me the bag. No eye contact, no apology,no thank you. I mouth “thank you” to the cook and he smiles back. Hidden in the neighborhood, off the main drag, exactly what you need. The giant slice is as advertised. It's truly huge. They... were filming "The Big Leap" in the neighborhood so parking was a bit challenging. But well worth the extra couple minutesspent. Took a client there and he is still raving to people about our lunch. It a typical Italian eatery that goes a bit furtherthan the others. Highly recommended if you're not sure what you're hungry for.
