We stopped by on a Sunday and we were able to get a table for two immediately with a reservation. The brunch was amazing! The... chicken and waffles taste like it made with funnel cake batter or something. My only recommendation is to get the sauce on theside instead of on top of the chicken and waffles. Read more
No complaints here…and looking forward to the return! The General Manager, Brandon, is energetic & full of life! It matches... the vibe of the restaurant. We had the waffle fries (very good) and the shrimp tacos (also very good). “Off the Record” is agood choice if you like Mezcal. Shady Lady was another successful drink selection. The womens’s bathroom was a unexpected,almost uncomfortable, experience, picture of JT EVERYWHERE ???????????? They have top notch apps like Kung Pao Cauliflower - who needs wings? It’s a greatvegetarian option too! Their specialty Diplomat Burger is everything you’d want in a cheeseburger topped with crispy shallots,bacon jam, aioli, and dill pickles. Their shrimp tacos were my favorite out of everything though - slightly blackened shrimp,mango salsa, cilantro cream, and avocado. They also have some amazing drink options. What a tasty afternoon. The vibe was youthful and lively. Great DJ. The bad and boozy cocoa was tasty. I was a little sad... that my drink didn't have the signature toasted mallows but our server bought some out later. The food was delicious, servedfresh and hot. All portions are truly share-size. We enjoyed chilaquiles, chicken and waffles and cinnamon rolls. My favoritewas the waffle. So good. Cheesy hash was also quite tasty. Will be back and would recommend. Read more
I have eaten here twice. The first time I had the Mac and cheese and the second time I shared The Diplomat burger and the Mac... and cheese without the bacon and scallions. Appetizer (5/5): The Crispy Mozz Thiccs were delicious. I would orderagain. Entree (3/5): I liked The Diplomat it was very tasty. Definitely for two people or less. I guess you could split it forfour people but the portions wouldn't be big enough for hungry people, maybe sort of or slightly hungry people. For two people,it was enough for me but not enough for my bf. The Mac and Cheese was okay. I forgot what I thought about it last time, andfrankly it tastes good but I'm not impressed by it. Customer Service (2/5): Our waiter was nice but the wait times were a bitlong for the food. Building/Ambiance/Etc. (3/5): The restaurant was very festive for this time of year. The music was a bitloud though, which made it difficult to hear others. Parking: It is sometimes difficult to find close parking, because thereare so many restaurants in the area. Read more
