All the staff was friendly and so hospitable! This was my 1st time but definitely not my last! My waitress Vanessa, manger... Carlos and GM Christopher went above and beyond to make this a lasting experience! I recommend anyone that is looking for thefreshest seafood with the most talented chefs to check this place out. Had an absolutely lovely time at Bar Mar! Perfect ambiance, absolutely stunning mood, music, and decor. The food was all... delicious - not a crumb left on the plate. The atmosphere here is stunning! It?s so relaxing and bright! Absolutely loved all of the greenery which the server shared many... were brought from Puerto Rico ????????! We loved it as my husband is Puerto Rican. The food was delicous but just wish therewas a little more meat on the lobster roll. The croquetas de pollo was not to our liking. Very mushy on the inside, almost feltundercooked. The Classic Ceviche was awesome! The little red peppers were a perfect touch of spice with more or a vinegar taste.Loved it! The ranch dressing on the chicken salad was very good. The wagyu steak did not impress us. The flavor was lacking. Theserver did bring us the Sticky Toffee Pudding to celebrate my husband?s birthday? it was Soooo good! Overall I would return totry their dinner menu as the lunch menu is very small. Read more
Being a huge fan of José Andrés I had to check out Bar Mar. Super chic - the decor, the vibe, the service & the menu all over... the top! My server helped me select some really fun & alluring options. I loved everything I tried and equally enjoyed oglingevery dish that was being delivered around me. I expect this to become a happy hour destination for those working in the loop. Cocktails are innovative and have an interesting... spin on the classics. The food while tasty was on the pricy side at around 12$ a bite (not a plate). That being said theinterior is beautiful and will have outdoor space in the summer along the river making it very appealing to the post work crowd. Read more

This restaurant was the BOMB! My s/o and I drove an hour to experience Bar Mar and the experience was much more than I would... have ever expected. Each food and drink item we ordered exceeded all expectations and every staff member made sure to greet usand explain what each item was and how it was prepared. Our server, Amanda, went above and beyond to tend to our needs. She doesthe perfect amount of check ins with her tables. She worked her butt off serving all her tables. I never seen a server asdedicated to their guests as she is. I overheard the table next to us compliment her on her speedy, attentive personality andcommitment to make their stay as smooth and happy as possible. Our table "neighbors" even wanted to request her for next time.If you want an amazing dining experience, this is the place to be! I brought my husband here for his birthday and it was such a great idea. Brian, our server, was amazing and so engaging. We... decided to do the Ultimate Tasting Menu which was described as ?the best the restaurant has to offer?, and it was so so good.Highlights were the ceviche oysters, the caviar cone, and the paella. Even if you don?t do the tasting menu, be sure to get thepaella! For drinks, my favorite was the salt air margarita but we also tried the floral cloud and the old fashioned and thosewere also great.
