I was a customer with barrancos for over 10 years today my friends and I were treated with the utmost disrespect. As an... African American woman, and a customer. I wanted spaghetti while riding down 95th with a friend. They spotted the place so we figured let?s try it. I did not see... spaghetti at the buffet that was offered but loved every bite of my meal. The steamed veggies were wonderfully seasoned. Themeatballs were dense and juicy dressed with a tomato sauce that begged for the noodles that I did not see. There was pizza whichI enjoyed. The minestrone and mashed potatoes were delicious, a bit too salty but flavorful. There were 2 different cookies fordessert. One cookies had sprinkles and the other had a large drop of chocolate in its center. I enjoyed the light flavoredbiscuit texture with colored sprinkles. My only wish would be the temperature control be easier to adjust. Apparently no onepresent during our meal seemed to know much to do. Someone pressed on a keypad but it turned back on shortly after. Seems athing in at least the managers on duty?s knowledge base. Lots of parking and a friendly greeter. I?d definitely go back. Read more
Great pizza as always. Extremely disappointed, however, to see 2 service charges automatically added to my bill..i) a 3+% charge... for payment via credit card and ii) a tip was automatically added. I can understand a mandatory tip for a large party, but therewere just 3 of us and we ordered an appetizer and a large pizza. And who carries cash anymore? I don't see why I have to pay aservice charge for what is now the most common form of payment. Read more
Brunch line looked like something in front of a Gas station counter front. Food was good. Not enough choices , and they were out... of food meatballs, sausage, etc by 1pm. This is really not my big complaint. My complaint is the price. $12.99 for adults (With drinks - not told to us). This was fine, if they kept it stocked. We had kids 3 & 5, which were also charged $ 12.99. $12.99 for kids, who eat only cheese pizza and cookies. She should have said to order the kids a small pizza. Read more
If I can give this place no stars, I would! I went there tonight with my friend, the lady said the bar was open, so my friend... and I found a spot at the bar. With in a few minutes later, they said they have a strict dress code and we had to leave! Mindyou they said my friend who is a black guy had his shoulders out (cut off shirt)! Meanwhile as we are told that they won?t serveus, there is another customer there who is female had a cut off shirt as well but she got to stay, eat, and drink! I also sawanother female walk in with a cut off shirt and was able to sit at the bar! We were treated unfairly, and sadly, race had to dowith it! The lady didn?t like how we were dressed and pointed to a wack dress code flier they had posted on the wall! Mean whilewe passed the dress code flier since the lady said the bar is open, sit anywhere you like, but since she didn?t like how we weredressed, she said she can not serve us! I will never return to your establishment and I hope people that read this reconsiderspending money at your place if business! Unfortunately I was served white wine at room temperature that had lipstick stains on the rim of the glass when the server set... it down on table.???? I still had to wipe the rim of the replacement glass because the server didn't check to make sure thisglass was thoroughly clean either.? I ordered the fried calamari it came to me warm, not hot! I ordered the healthy pasta and aside order of sauteed shrimp in olive oil and garlic with a side salad. Instead of my server bringing my salad first and then myentree he brought them out together. I was a little annoyed by that because I had not finished my appetizer and would have likedto have enjoyed my salad at a leisurely pace with my appetizer. By the way, the salad was very good. My entree not so much. Thehealthy pasta, although had garlic as an ingredient was not garlicky in taste at all. Very Bland not much flavor at all to mydismay. No salt or crushed red pepper or even Parmesan cheese was offered. And at this point I didn't bother to ask for itbecause all I wanted to do was finish my salad, appetizer, and wine. Take my healthy Pasta home and Doctor it up to try andenjoy it later ???? I ordered a cannoli for dessert that was very tasty! Due to the wine glass debacle I was not charged for thecannoli, a kind gesture but I still walked away less than satisfied with my experience at Barraco's unfortunately. There were different customer service reps that didn't offer the same as the ones I had the pleasure of meeting (different... staff). Drinks with a slice of pizza wasn't offered the last time. But the pizza is good. Read more
I like to preference this review as a avid goer of olive garden (some people might beg the differ) I wanted to try something new... in my area unfortunately most of the time when I try a new place I circle back to the same sentiment "stick to what you know" Iordered the chicken alfredo and I can't say it was absolutely horrible but I would be hesitant to try and order from here againAlfredo sauce was very bland I describe it as creamy milk there was no hint of Parmesan or garlic the portion that was given wasdefinitely suffice for the meal but that was the only pro to this order the chicken was this weird fried grilled taste I wouldnot recommend ordering the chicken alfredo Read more
