This is my first review of any restaurant. We live one block away and have given Belle Notte two attempts. Both were met with an... unprofessional staff, a lack of general cordiality, and a general sense of smugness from the owner. I made a reservation for 8:30. When we got there we for some reason were sat at the only table without plates, silverware, or... glasses. Right away I checked what time they closed because it felt like the servers were rushing us and annoyed that we werethere. And they don't close until 10:30 so I was confused as to why. It started off great with appetizers. We ordered their grilled octopus and baked clams. Delicious ???? For our entree we ordered... the special of the day the Grouper cooked Vesuvio style. The fish was very dry and bland, it needed seasoning. The wedgepotatoes were dry and hard, not freshly cooked. I don't mind spending good money on a worthy dish but this was ridiculous! Theprice of $38.50 left a really bad taste in my mouth. The dirty dry martini was fair, served in a small glass. We addressed thequality of food with "the manager". He totally was unapologetic and continued to defend the food without acknowledging ourdissatisfaction. We were not looking for a discount or free dessert!
