This place is a no-frills cuban sandwich shop but puts out an authentic product that is closely reminiscent to coffee &... sandwiches in Miami. The prices are surprisingly low but quality is very high and im not complaining. I started with thestrong café cubano espresso which was a great pick-me-up!! The cubano sandwich was as authentic as you can get with gooeycheese, salty/fatty/juicy meats held together on cuban bun with the nice puckle zing. As far as Cuban sandwich places go in chicago, this place takes the cake for service, efficiency, and flavor. It was one of my... favorite spots before I went vegan/vegetarian. I love all of their sandwiches and they have awesome coffee too. You can have ithot or iced and add whatever flavor to it you would like. This location is really slow on getting orders out. Plus I personally seen them hanging up the phone on customers to continue... their own conversations. My friend keeped bragging about this place and he finally took me. The coffee was like how I expected,like every other Cuban... place, the "cafe con leche" was good no surprise there. I ordered the steak sandwich with egg and cheese.this one was awesome.Great seasoning ,meat was soft and not chewy like other places I've visited. Came with grilled onions ,this made a Bigdifference, it enhanced the flavor of the whole sandwich. Next time I might not order it with the egg an cheese. I think thesteak is just fine by itself.not much sitting space, besides 2 round tables and acouple stools this place is not a place to takeyour big family and expect to dine in, or you might have to wait alittle for a table ,this is more of a place you stop by beforegoing to work and grab a coffee and a sandwich for on the go.
