Reviews for The Robey in Chicago, IL

Loved this hotel! An updated Art Deco dream, The Robey boasts a status as the only Design Hotel in the excitingly eclectic city... of Chicago. The general aesthetic is relatively austere, paying homage to the building?s former life as an office, with littletouches like the use of robust materials and underrated colours and materials reminding us of this. The rooftop bar gives anunrivalled view across Wicker Park and the wider city, with a solid cocktail to go with it. A stroll around the fantastic localneighbourhood, this beautiful building stands tall above it all. The staff are relaxed yet attentive, highly recommended forlonger or shorter stays. Read more

The view from the top is amazing. The service at the bar was great. The rooms are super cute. The service at the cafe is awesome... too. But the guy at the front desk was kind of rude to us so I'm not sure about the hotel's service. We wanted to valet but thevalet was not outside so we kind of parked right by the street and asked for valet service at the desk but they apparently foundthat very irritating even though we apologized - first time we've been in Chicago. The staff kind of changed their tune thoughafter looking at our account but it was all just very odd. Read more

Plenty of shops and restaurants around Staff very engaged and seemed proud of the hotel - which is a nice way to work Not acookie cutter hotel with homogeneous rooms. It?s a triangular building with character Read more
