Went on a week night to try something new in Edison Park. Close to the train station to head there straight after work. Food was... fine. Grabbed the steak tartar to start and definitely left much to the imagination. It was more room temp than expected anddefinitely didn't have the taste that I expected. Had to send it back. Boeuf Bourguignon was much better well paired with thewine, but not amazing. Overall service was above average for a weeknight which was its saving grace but won't be back. It’sweird when you aren’t offered a glass of water more than once and you’re there for an hour. If I'm paying over $100 for adinner for two, I'll look for a better place next time. Read more

Went here for a baby shower and had a delightful time. First time at this resturant and everything served was good! Great... service! We were packed in a little tightly but that was about the only negative. The resturant and washrooms were clean. Thedecor was simple but tasteful. Will come back again with the family. Read more

Had brunch here today, and as a celiac, I am always a bit hesitant trying new places. I was very pleasantly surprised by how... accommodating they were. I has the poulet paillard, and even several hours later, not a but of reaction. Highly recommend. Foodis delicious, service excellent. Read more

We had a great time here! The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The portions were relatively large, which was unexpected... but exciting. Everything from appetizer to dessert created a memorable experience. Although it was in the colder months duringour visit, it looked like they open up the restaurant in the summer and spread out seating into the street. I’d recommend thisto anyone! Read more

After reading the reviews and receiving only 4 stars on Yelp, I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely our experience was... overall. Despite the fact that we were placed in a weird area of the dining space, the service and food exceeded ourexpectations. We recently enjoyed a small birthday party at Cafe Touché. We were so excited by the menu with all the wonderfulFrench Dishes. Starting off our evening we ordered the Nina Rose and Mojito (off the menu) and made specially for our BirthdayGirl! Nice! The drinks were nice but not mind blowing as the flavors were quite muted. For Appetizers, we ordered the Escargot, which surprisingly doesn’t come with a shell, the Fritto Misto wasn’t anything spectacular but fried nicely, and the Vol AuVant. The Vol Au Vant was by far the stand out of the appetizers with the creamy sauce and tender chicken bits. Our onlycriticism is that the dish didn’t have more quantity. The free bread they provided was nice and paired well with this creamsauce and a mixture of the garlic butter from the Escargot. For mains, we shared the Cordon Bleu, Jambalaya, Joule Au Vin andBolognese. The Cordon Bleu chicken was tender and the sauce was nice. The Jambalaya was also made well with jumbo shrimp andslightly spicy andouille sausage. The Braised beef cheeks were nice but the reduction was a little over-reduced and theBolognese pasta was perfectly al dente. Our server was so lovely the entire evening. I believe her name was Paris, superattentive and very welcoming! We also received a lovely dessert as a birthday gift! We would definitely recommend as a niceplace outside of the city of Chicago to check out! Great for lunch, brunch and dinner and they even have outdoor seating whichis awesome! Grade : A Read more
