This is a new restaurant, and what a deliciously amazing addition it is! Upon entering in the courtyard near the famous,... towering bronze sculpture by Abbott L. Pattison (Corner of Field Dr and Randolph, behind the CTA's 60 bus stop), guests enterthe reception area - a bright and airy bar area is located along the courtyard, and an additional dining area has RandolphStreet and the trees/Lake as its backdrop. I expected slow wait-times (as what happens with any new establishment trying tofind their footing with new staff, etc) and was pleasantly surprised. The Salumi E Formaggio plate was an amazing start to mydining experience. The Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina was soaked in tomato basil goodness, and the Salame di Cioccolato a sweet, perfect end to this new dining experience! This restaurant is very close to Millennium Park, Grant Park, Lakeshore East Park,Michigan Avenue and Chicago Loop. The 60 Bus drops of and picks up literally at the entrance to this restaurant. I asked themanager about future happy hour specials and brunch times on the weekends, and those will be announced very soon. All in all, this was a fabulous dining experience, will be going back soon! Edited on 12/2/22: They just opened for Sunday Brunch, and itwas delicious! My family and I enjoyed the Goat Cheese Frittata, Steak and Eggs, Fruit and Nutella Parfait, Carlucci Potatoes,Fusilli and a Kid At Heart Martini. Such a yummy brunch! Read more

The highlight of our most recent trip to Chicago was the Italian dining experience at the new downtown Carlucci restaurant. From... the verdure vegetable pizza, seared octopus, gnocchi, and amazing meatballs, to the branzino and swordfish entrees, my wife andI were in heaven. This wonderful meal we sandwiched between a Millennial Park stroll and a Cadillac Palace show. (Park andtheaters within walking distance!) A perfect day! Thank you, Carlucci. We'll be back! Authentic and creative Italian. Well prepared, good service adjacent to Maggie Daley and Millennium parks. The double cut pork... chop was moist and tender. The duck ragu was delicious. The chicken liver pate is perfect with the creative cocktail selections.Highly recommended. Read more

A welcome addition to the New East Side. Carlucci's on East Randolph is in the shadow of Maggie Daley and Millennium Park. One... of the great Italian restaurants in Chicago which is known for its outstanding Italian fare Oh, and make sure to try the pizzatoo: the thin cracker crust is baked in a wood oven and the toppings and sauce are right out of a Roma Cafe. At 6.7% alcohol, the Dolomiti Rossa birra washes down well with the pizza. Pics 1 and 2. Making BOBONATO, housemade pasta tossed tableside in aparmesan wheel, with basil and prosciutto. Pic 3. PARMIGIANA DI MELANZANE eggplant, smoked fior di latte, tomato basilsauce Pic 4. Dolomiti Rossa Birra Read more
