I occasionally stop at this Checkers on my way into or out of Hyde Park, to get an order of fries. Yesterday for the very first... time I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and fries, for which I waited a ridiculously long time behind just one car, and againat the window because she said it'll delay a bit (around 3 pm, in the pouring rain). 2 hours later I had what was undoubtedlysome serious food poisoning. It is 4 am and I am still queasy. I am pretty sure that the chicken didn't get cooked properly. Iam giving 1 star, only because I like your fries. Read more
First time going to Checkers in probably 10 years and will be my absolute last. Terrible in every way. They litwrallly for my... entire order wrong. There was a long line so I didn?t want to look through my whole order in line. Come home to see they couldmy entire $23 order wrong. I endlessly attempted to call customer service to no avail. I contacted corporate missed theirinitial call back. I called Them right back and have heard nothing no compensation. Horrible experience wouldn?t reccomendanyone spend their money here when there are so many other food options. Read more
This is a good Checkers, but slow. I had the Big Buford and ????. Very tasty. As I've said before, Checkers, McDonald's and... Arby's has the best fries that I've ever had. The customer service was good, just needs to be faster. Customers who walked intold me that "they're being slow, aren't they?" On the whole, though, the food is good. Read more
Years ago when they first came to the Chicagoland area, they were great! This chain left for some time, then they came... back...its not the same. The burgers are so small and they put a lot of veggies (lettuce,tomatoes, pickles,etc) on the burgers-which is great! But they're cold and it affects the temperature of the hamburger patty! The fries are different...they'recoated with something like vanilla? Which makes they kinda sweet. I take it as odd combination with the hamburger. I like tohave my burger hot...and my fries not so sweet. Just thought it was weird combination. Would I go back...no. Read more
The drive thru attendant was very unprofessional and really ghetto was told I could only place one order because the restaurant... was about to close even though they were supposed to be open for another 45 mins. Save yourself from the drama that isCheckers! Update: had to wait 20 mins for two spicy chicken and which is all she said they had available. Read more
A dark skin heavy female and a dude with deads where working around 2:00AM July 30, 2019. After ordering my food and pulling to... the window to pay she told me fo back up, and that she would signal me to come forward. After 6 minutes she signaled and said mycatd declined i then told her to try again and it worked. She said back up again - i guess not wanting me to see what they weredoing. When i got my food this is what i got. And I returned and showed them thru the window and they did not speak to me. Imnot sure what they are doing to peoples food in this restaurant but its not okay. It was 1am and I needed some great food on the go after leaving a concert. My cousin recommended me Checkers. I bought myself... the Big Buford Burger. That is a nice burger. It's not as greasy as any other burger, and it's not a sloppy made burger either.I didn't even know they have wings here too!! Read more
