To be honest, i had an okay experience... tight space, more for ppl 40 and up, food was iight...We left a tip...it could have... been better especially with all these good reviews... i have some constructive criticism if they ask. I will not bash thembecause im too mature for that. so I will continue to support my local black businesses helping them grow. Very limited breakfast selection no pork sausage no real hash browns chef has a poor attitude especially to be a small... restaurant without any options the cashier was nicer than the cook They get a plus for making the food homemade but frfr theyneed a bigger kitchen so they can push orders out faster definitely won't be returning food was mediocre and the wait wasn'tworth it.i should've went to original pancake house.and to think my daughter gave them a tip smh . every time I come in I am greeted with a warm welcome I love the food especially the salmon burger the service makes you feel... like home like you're part of a family and it draws everyone from all walks of life you want to come here if you ever meetChef????????????? Even though I pass by the cafe often, I've never been inside until today (10/06). Starting out, I tried a Hot Chocolate w/Oat... Milk and a shot of espresso to enjoy while I was out walking. I have to say, it was a pleasant surprise, considering I'm so usedto Dunkin Donuts. It was just what I needed though. Nicely made, with a pretty smooth, very comforting flavor. This isdefinitely a drink I could get accustomed to drinking during the Fall/Winter months here in Chicago. Another plus, was that thespace was really nice, inviting and the owner seemed very familiar and so friendly with her customers. Always a nice thing toexperience. Will definitely come back to try the Hot Chocolate again and some food. Very positive experience to start my day. Read more
