It was our first time dining here tonight - hands down top Latin-Mexican food I’ve had while living in Illinois. The... food-drinks are exceptionally priced, especially given that it’s 100% homemade, (even the drinks are homemade). We got to meetone of the sisters, she made the night. Her inspiration is Lucille Ball, a strong woman that fought her way in the 1950’s era.The music played at the restaurant is classic, (I think Buena Vista Social Club), elegant and classy. The atmosphere is sheikand modern, but also comforting and relaxing. They also have happy hour ALL days of the week - Monday is all day Margaritas! Iwill be back for happy hour to enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner on a Friday evening. Read more
A lovely little Mexican restaurant that we just happened to find on a whim. The drinks were smooth and the chips and salsa were... truly homemade. Nice and thin chips. The mushroom tacos were delicious. The staff is super friendly. The portions are a bitsmaller for the price though. Read more
I really appreciated finding this cute neighborhood spot. I was immediately greeted by the owner and that was such a cool... experience! She sat me and the bartender Jordan made some fantastic cocktails. I highly recommend the empanadas and themargaritas. I cannot recommend this little cute spot enough. 5 stars for 5inco! An INCREDIBLY wonderful evening in a casual, yet trendy setting. Ceviche was on point, enchiladas melted in... your mouth and drinks were delicious. Zuleidy, who was acting both as hostess and waitress, was attentive and made us feel rightat home, despite the fact she was functioning in two different roles at the restaurant.
