I’ve been to Club Lucky a few times now, and overall it’s a great spot. Martinis are a signature, the Italian food is... comforting and consistent, and the old school vibe is charming. I did have a minor issue during my most recent visit that Ineed to call out just so this can hopefully be avoided in the future: if CL is going to close as early as they do on weekdays, they need to be more discerning/upfront about when they allow dinner reservations to be made so that it doesn’t negativelyimpact the dining experience. We made a reservation for a party of 3 for 8:30 this past week for a business dinner, wronglyassuming the restaurant probably closed at 10 at the earliest and that it would give us a solid 90 minutes to eat and talk. Iwould have never done this had we known we’d be rushed through our meal to have everything wrapped up by an early closingtime, which is apparently at 9:30 on Mondays. This could just be me, and if so feel free to roast me in the comments, but Ithink 9:30 is a bit of an unexpected time for a sit-down restaurant with a full bar in a major city to close down. I respectthat Club Lucky is completely entitled to operate this way, but if that’s how they operate, I wish they simply didn’t offerout reservation times an hour from closing in the first place, or were more upfront with their customers about their uniqueclosing time so they could prepare accordingly. In our situation, we were never informed of the 9:30 close but wereaggressively pushed through our meal to the point where it was difficult to enjoy more than a minute of conversation withoutbeing interrupted. On top of it, one of us ordered the lamb and it arrived severely undercooked, another sign that again theywere rushing to get us out the door even though we ordered everything within 15-20 minutes of sitting down. We spent over $50per person but still constantly felt like we were inconveniencing the restaurant in some way. I’m still giving CL 4 starsbecause I understand Read more

First time dining here and unfortunately felt there was much to be desired… I did love the old school/neighborhood feel and... the espresso martini! However, I was not impressed with the apps and entrees. That being said, the dining room was packed andhundreds of positive reviews online so would love to try again! Read more

I've gone to Club Lucky a few times but never ate anything because I am the Bus Driver for the Pizza Tour and the Drinks Tour as... well. But this time I brought my mom along and both had something to eat while we were there. Food was great, plus the dessertwas great as well. Read more

Club Lucky is a hidden gem. The moment you walk in the door you feel at home. The atmosphere is comfortable and exciting. It's a... mix between an old school dinner in the front and a regular restaurant in the back. The walk up bar is decorated with beautifulbottles and lighting. You can eat and/or drink at the walk up bar. The drinks are amazing and the food is unforgettable. Youcan't go wrong with anything on the menu. Eating family style is your best bet with large groups. Highly recommend the VealParmesan. They cook everything to perfection and the staff are amazing. Really nice and super friendly with everyone. The placeis a must go if you are in Chicago. Highly recommended! Read more

Perfection. Old school fee. No frills but classic exceptional eats. Large pasta selection. Slightly higher price point…... average entree is about $25, but very large portions. Staff was very friendly. The calamari came with cocktail not marinara, which was great - simple but best thing ever. Read more
