It's not that the service was bad, rather it didn't exist. I constantly had to get up to find an employee to get food & drinks.... It wasn't just my table; it was the entire restaurant/bar. It was rather cold out so we decided to dine her for dinner &breakfast. Breakfast was actually WORSE than dinner the night before. It was over an hour to get our food. Coffee was notrefilled. It took at least 30min to finally give our order. Juice for my children wasn't bright to the tracker until after anhour. The restaurant was about 1/4 full. Food was pretty good nothing amazing. The drinks was on point and bartender was great very knowledgeable and had good vibes.

Very friendly staff. Food was excellent and large portions.

Tried the shrimp and pancetta rigatoni, lamb pasta, and salmon Caesar salad. All were super delicious! Highly recommend.

We stayed @ W Chicago on Lakeshore three times this year. We had 1 issue that they accommodated and fixed quickly on... Valentine’s Day. Very well ran hotel! Good food, comfortable rooms, great views, great staff. The Restaurant downstairs@Current is amazing food. Also the same as room service. Go downstairs and get the meatball sliders! Mauricio the manager thereis an incredible manager (not many like him.) His whole staff is truly incredible. Good drinks, good vibes, and don’t have towait even if it’s busy. Read more

I think this place has potential. Sadly, the customer service experience was a little disappointing. To be fair, one bartender... was friendlier and more accommodating than the other bartenders. I wish I remembered her name, but look for the lighter-hairedone. She will treat you better. I was literally standing right in front of the male bartender, waiting for him to acknowledgeme, as he seemed to be busy doing something else, and I think he would have ignored me the whole time if I didn't speak out andtold him I wanted to order a cheese platter. Is it possible he thought that I was just standing there and staring at him?Anyway, added to that, I had called multiple times a week before, on the days and times when they were open, as I wanted to makesure that we had a table since I was bringing in 10 people with me. I left a voice mail to their manager and spoke with someonewho claimed that she was a sous chef and who told me that she would have someone call me back, and guess what, no one did. For the price, this place is not worth it. None of the items stood out in quality or taste. The single waffle pictured was $16... and not impressive. Two stars because the pancakes were also uncooked, they apologized and refunded the item though. Read more

Once more, chef Jonathan Meyer, the seasoning God, kills it at Current! (If you were a fan of Broken Shaker food, back to when... it first opened, then you definitely need to visit this place). Last night was my second time going there and it was still asgood as my first time there! The hummus is perfectly seasoned, come with crispy chickpeas and the flat bread is crunchy on theside while warm and soft in the middle and sprinkled with sea salt. The pasta (my favorite dish) was also a delight and cookedin an gin essence sauce (I believe) with cherry tomatoes, parmesan and another cheese I can’t currently recall ????. Myboyfriend got the gnocchi and it was really good too. I wish I had taken a photo of the first time we ate there because he gotthe lamb and it was such a fire dish!!! Will definitely be back because I have my eye on the monkey bread with smoked tomatosauce and caramelized mozzarella (I MEAN, COME ON!!!). Other than that, the service was good both time we were there with a tinyemphasis on last night as we sat outside rather than at the bar and had an actual waiter.
