Wow, just wow. I’ve had Ethiopian food before and this further enhanced my love for this cuisine. Got the sharing platter,... which was plenty for four people; even took home leftovers for another two meals. Vegetarian options are available. Make areservation as this place is popular. Highly recommend! Read more

We ordered the sampler platter of sambusas and loved the lentil ones. Also ordered a vegetarian combo for 2 + 2 meat dishes... (chicken & beef), which was just enough for 5 people. The server said they’ve been there for about 15 years and they clearlyknow how to cook good food! Read more

Came to Demera a little while ago to switch up the cuisine for a date night! This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and... I’ve heard the best things about this restaurant so was very excited to try. Overall, we had a great experience. The serverswere all really nice and attentive. We started with cocktails which were good and reasonably priced and sambussas which werealso really good! For the main meal we got the half veggie / half meat sampler platter (Demera Messob). We went with a few ofthe waitress’s recommendations as well as what sounded good to us from the menu. Many of the dishes were very good. I think myfavorite was the Shrimp Tibs! Overall I’m giving it 4 stars because I didn’t really enjoy the food. The main dish is servedwith a very, very sour type of bread/wrap that I did not care for. The idea was to dip the bread into the different dishes andeat it with your hands, but without the bread or silverware (it’s customary to eat with your hands) the saucy dishes were verydifficult/strange to eat. I’m not at all a picky eater but it wasn’t for me. Really wanted to like it Read more

Great place if you want to try Ethiopian cuisine! I have tried Ethiopian food before and this place did not disappoint. We had... the Appetizer Messob and the Demera Messob and the portion sizes were great and allowed us to try multiple dishes. Drinks weregood too, sambusa and farmer’s cheese are must try!! We had Icecream for the dessert, which was okay. Good experienceoverall!! Read more

Had a phenomenal time at Demera last week. I had never had Ethiopian food before but wow it was so good! My friends and I tried... the Chef's platter and it was the perfect way to try a lot of things at once. The dessert was also delicious, especially theChocolate Coconut Cream Pie. I got a reservation but there were seats available on a weeknight. Everything was on the firstlevel. Read more
