Casual place and friendly service. The dining room is fairly large and open, so it's great for larger groups. I'm not a foodie... but can say I was totally satisfied with food, presentation, etc. Service was quick and pleasant. Read more

incredible food, welcoming atmosphere!! I’m gluten free and didn’t have any issues finding dishes to eat on the menu. Great... price for large portions and food that feels (and tastes) home cooked. Will definitely be back again!! Read more

Yes! Yes! Yes! Some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. Chill atmosphere and good people too. I had the vegetarian sample... platter (I'm not vegetarian) and I didn't miss the meat! All of it was so flavorful, well seasoned and just enough. Read more

The place is cozy and you’re seated quickly. The food comes outs fast and is delicious! The portions are massive! We got the... platter for 2 people but couldn’t finish it. This is one of my favourite Ethiopian dinners! I would highly recommend this gem. Read more

I worked in Ethiopia off and on for two years, and in between, I would bring people to Ethiopian Diamond to share the experience... with friends in Chicago. The food here is great, the atmosphere is laid back, and the large dining room feels inviting to me.This visit we started off with a small coffee pot, which they served with small cups and some sugar. We ordered some sambusasavory pastries, two filled with meats and one with veggies and one with lentils as an appetizer. Then we had the meat samplerplate, which came with 3 meats and 3 vegetarian offerings in a platter of the injera bread, and a platter of four more rolledinjera. There was some salad in the middle of the platter too. Everything tasted great, the service was quiet and prompt, withfrequent water fills since we stayed a long time given they weren't busy. Overall, a great choice for Ethiopian dining. Read more

We had the Tibs sampler and Meat Sampler. Everything was really tasty. Remember, you need to eat with your hands here. The place... looked understaffed though, and it did take some time for the food to arrive. There is paid street parking on the street, butfor some reason we didn’t have to pay, maybe because it was a Sunday. Read more
