You are Racists! I'm from Europe and I have a lot of trip experience. I love to travel and explore also normal places not just... tourists areas. Then at a Oct 02 we ware walking around Damen area in Chicado and we decided drink coffee. I saw this place andI thought, wow it is a nice one! I was wrong . We tryed make a order and our card did not work because is from Europe. then Iasked for pay by cash and the young tattooed girl answered me "I'm sorry, this place is just for nationals" of course in thebeginning I thought was a joke and then she deleted the order and sayed "now you can leave". After I realized that she deniedserve us, I felt really injured and discriminated. I work at airport in Portugal and in always care really respectfu everyAmerican passengers because I always got respect in USA, but this case really shocked me. I've been to this Fairgrounds location thrice now and have asked one of the baristas, Teddy, to surprise me with a drink he... thinks I'd like based on my tastes and I've always had a very delicious experience. He makes great jasmine lattes and spicedchais! He's always kind and polite, makes great drinks, and seems to know a lot about coffee. There's nothing more I could askfor when grabbing breakfast or lunch. Great location and great guy! Read more

So good!!! Absolutely loved our experience at Fairgrounds. The coffee was excellent and the baristas were so so sweet and... friendly. They gave great recommendations and the coffee was excellent. I had the nitro cold brew and my husband had the pourover. Both were exceptional! We also had a croissant and bagel. Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea ups the ante with fresh brewed beverages. Diverse menu and delicious to go items. The staff and... location are fantastic, easy parking and no hassle ordering. Step up and get a brew, tea or Kambucha on tap or if you have amoment order a fresh 12 or 16 oz. Today's flavor was a Colectivo. Patience is key as the watching the pour over is sotantalizing. I am still in shock about this store. I am from Europe and was on a city trip to Chicago with friends. We were exploring the... neighborhood around the Damen station and found this "fairgrounds" store. We entered the store on October 2, 2022 at 12:10PM. There was a young man and a young woman in the store, besides us there was only one guest at the table. As we walked up tothe counter, the man just looked at us briefly and then went back to playing with his phone, while the woman seemed annoyed byour presence and rolled her eyes to say hello. When I placed my order and wanted to pay with my European card, it was notaccepted. I asked if I could also pay in cash. The woman said only "we do not take cash, and besides, we only serve nationalshere". She then cancelled the order for about $8 in the cash register, spun around and left us standing there stunned, while shewas now also playing with her phone. We left the store and were shocked by this discriminatory behavior. If you are not anamerican citizen, you should avoid this store - you might not be served. Absolutely not recommended, this racist store. If Iwere still in the US, I would go to the lawyer. ***Update*** After the company offered to exchange information by email, Iexplained my problem again. They insisted on having a telephone conversation with me, which is not feasible for me because Iwork full time and live on the other side of the world in Europe. After that, there was no more response. It seems thatcustomer satisfaction is superficially important to them. But basically, they just don't care. Therefore, drink your coffee atStarbucks, or at one of the other countless coffee shops in the neighborhood of this store. But avoid those racistemployees.
