Absolutely Delicious! Highly recommend the Saag Paneer and Strawberry Shortcake, as they were our favorite if the many dishes we... tried. I did the $50 tasting menu, which was well worth the menu as the portions are full plates not tasting size, though Ithink I could have shared it with my partner as it was A LOT of food. The cheese that were used were all homemade and you couldtaste the quality. Great date night spot and awesome patio dining area! Read more

Truly a special place! A singular and whimsical experience. I’ve gone with my best friend twice, and each visit we are left... smiling and laughing from how flavorful and thought out the food is. You can tell how passionate the staff are about whatthey’re creating and the experience they’re crafting for diners. Cassandra is incredible and I’m excited to visit againand again and again! 3.5 Stars. Attended the Avant Garden: Vegan Molecular Gastronomy Dinner. Was a bit confused that the restaurant was also open... to any diner vs just for the Chef’s dinner. The dinner started 1 hour late, which I find inconsiderate of diners time andshould not have taken 3 hours for 5 courses, I’m assuming limited staff and non prepped or slow cooking were the issues. Theregular menu diners next to me were served and finished by the time I had my second course, they said their meal was good.Interesting vegan preparations of classic meat plates, some hit like the tamale and raspberry poke others did not. I thought thewine per glass was a short pour and of course waiting an extra hour to event start “made” me have more than I would havewith dinner. Accessible rest area, any person restroom with no lock on door had a man at the urinal when I came out of theenclosed toilet :/. Looks like a nice side patio, weather permitting. Brief 1.5 Happy Hour. Read more

First of all it’s wonderful to see a vegetarian restaurant in Chicago. They had absolutely wonderful service and a great... atmosphere. In terms of food however I would only recommend the shepherd’s pie. The “bacon” wrapped dates and gnocchi hada very fibrous taste to them, almost like wood. The saag paneer spinach dip was okay, and the duck buns had an interestingstrong (not necessarily good) taste. Read more

We visited the larger sister of Fancy Plants Cafe this morning and we were so nicely surprised! Beautiful, cozy, warm interior... made us feel welcomed, had kinda organic and hippie feel which corresponded very well with the kind of food they serve. Also, interior made us feel relaxed and "vacation like withdrawn' from a busy life! Since the weather was great we chose a table attheir large patio. I asked for any breakfast option and was served delicious vegan scrambled eggs with baby potatoes and out ofthis world seed/nuts heavier kind of bread. For desert I had a cinnamon roll and tiramisu late. All food tasted great, wascreated and seasoned the way I was expecting it to be (or much better - scrambled eggs were exceeding my expectations as well astheir super delish bread) ..all served by a very polite cool staff. I also received an extra late free of charge.. (nice treatfor a first visit!) While being surrounded by guests at adjacent tables I've asked some of them about their experience and theywere happy to be there as much as we were! and I took some extra photos of what they had :) (psst! they allowed me to do it ;))The friend of mine had some kind of an avocado melt (which I would serve a little more creative way by adding a little extraaccents on the plate but was not bad) Overall, really cool place offering tasty food. I truly recommend them and guarantee youwon't be disappointed. Read more
