Come here right now and get the Duck + Dumplings and brussel sprouts and pair that with a flight of beers (choose your own, up... to 5) and you'll have an amazing West Town dining experience. We were just going to have some beers but after sitting at thebar the bartender recommended the duck and dumplings and Brussels and I'm so glad we ordered them. The Brussels were not soakedin butter (like most places) and were served with nuts, which was great. You'd be missing out if you only came here for a beerand didn't order any food. Read more

Inventive beers pair super well with the food. The rose ale was refreshing. Fries are perfectly crispy and the schnitzel was... larger than my face and the flavors balanced nicely. Add amazing service to that and you have a delightful evening out Read more

When my girlfriend told me she had to reserve this place two weeks in advance I was a bit skeptical but oh my god it is well... worth the wait. This place is nothing short of excitement from the flavors the food brings. Everything is rich with flavor. Iwould come back to the city of Chicago just to eat here again. The chicken sandwich was so good since they used chicken thighsand the meat was tender and soft but super crispy. The duck and dumplings had a depth of flavor it left me shocked wanting toorder more and more. Definetly check this place out as it is one for the history books. Bring an empty stomach. The beer andcocktails was also nice. But the food is where it is at. Read more

Love this place! The food is always good, the vibes are really cool and the staff is friendly. They have a good size list of... draft beers which are mostly house brews. I enjoy coming here every time! Recommendations - the beer cheese dip, jumbo pretzel& beef jerky to snack on. Read more

We went on Saturday night with a reservation and were situated in a nook that was a little more private, which was great, but... caused the servers to initially miss us. We waited around 20 minutes with no interaction from any of the staff before one of usgot up and kindly reminded we were there and ready to order. Immediately a waiter come over and apologized and said the firstround was on them. After that, they checked on us throughout the night and kept apologizing. I got the Duck and Dumplings andbeer flight which were both amazing. Everyone else raved about their food and drinks, as well. Despite the little hiccup at thebeginning, we were overall super happy with the food, experience, and exceptional customer service. Would definitely come back. Read more

Fun ambiance, friendly staff, good selection of beer! We got the Chicken sandwich and the Mushroom pot pie, 4 stars on that.... Same score for the beer, very good but not on scale with say, Lagunitas. If in the area or want to try someplace new, 5 stars onthe whole package! Read more

Probably have been here 15+ times in the past year and will be coming back 30+ more. You can't go wrong here. Food is always... good, beer is a beautiful balance of aromatic/flavor/price/quality. Get the salads. They are probably the best I've ever hadfrom anywhere. But if you aren't into that the wings and dumplings are just perfect comfort food that pair with everything onthe menu. Read more
