Amazing Filipino Breakfast on the weekends. I also had the Espresso Martini that was equally as good. I was little hesitant of... the prices but I definitely see myself coming by again. Absolutely beautiful restaurant and bar that mimics the classic architecture of the rest of the hotel. The menu is simplistic in... size but not in its offerings. Very thoughtful courses with exceptional ingredients and drinks that are absolute experiencesfrom beginning to end. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area. Read more
Beautiful concept attached to the St. Jane Hotel that is a welcome addition to the north loop. Coffee shop in front with... spacious bar and restaurant just beyond it. They did not miss any details here from the light fixtures to the floors andeverything in between. As some of the other reviews say they seem to be working out a few opening kinks however an enjoyableexperience worth stopping in for lunch or a drink. Read more
I always walk by and I get impressed by the design of this place. Seriously the design is phenomenal. So I stopped by and I had... lunch. I ordered baby kale salad with chicken. It was very disappointing. The waiter was very late to come to take the check. Hewas very young guy so I really couldn’t give him feedback.I would love to give the chef a feedback. You know this place isawesome. But they just need to improve the food quality. It’s very overpriced but I think for the location and the design andthe interior I can’t understand why it’s super pricey. But for salad like that it should be much much better. The taste wasvery stale. It’s not magic to make a fresh nice salad. I would love to show the chef how to make a fresh organic flavorfulsimple salad with grilled chicken. Maybe I’m picky because I cook a lot myself. But for an awesome place like this I expectthe salad to be much much better. However I will come back to try the coffee and the pastries and maybe try the dinner. Read more
Outstanding. I've now been to this place for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and also just for coffee and pastries and it delivers on... all fronts. First off, the service is impeccable and the space is beautiful. Both the chef and the pastry chef have michelinstars so this place is a foodie dream. I highly recommend the lobster roll, the saffron spaghetti and the french fries (trust meon this one). Even the chocolate hazelnut croissant I had with my coffee was a best-i-ever-had moment. I was happy to have made it (2018) there before so many restaurants closed or temporarily shut the doors. We had a great time. ... Cold beer and a delicious lobster roll hit the spot after walking around beautiful Chicago. Free Rein is in a great spot notfar from Millennium Park and is definitely worth your time. Read more
