We were absolutely thrilled with the food, quality of service, and value of Gilhooley's for our Santa's Breakfast school event... we've been doing for many years. We typically serve about 300 people, which can become chaotic, but the entire staff andmanagers were unbelievably helpful, delightful, and accommodating partners that everyone chimed, "This was our favoritebreakfast yet!". It went amazingly smooth with well timed deliveries and very fresh hot and DELICIOUS food throughout the 3hour event....not a cold plate was served! And ohhhhh that warm syrup! I was at a family birthday party last weekend and blown away with Gilhooley?s all around. The manager was all over any needs we... had from start to finish, and the servers were super fun and helped make it a real party vibe. I introduced myself to themanager while we were eating, the food was awesome and a bunch of us wanted to let him know. He was really nice and told us howGilhooley?s is now an event space and how proud he was that they could help make our family celebration special. Just genuinedown to earth people who cared and wanted to make sure were were having a good time. That?s lacking at a lot of places thesedays. Standard bar with fare that is pretty standard for the area overall nothing special. The bar is also a bit of an oddity since it... is owned by the college but they are also a dry campus. The selection of beer is also decent but nothing really special. OverallI would try to find a better place but if you want to go somewhere close and easy this is fine. Read more
I had my baby shower here and they are also catering for my sons baptism. The food is amazing and they are awesome when it comes... to parties and making sure you get what you need! Everyone there is always super nice and respectful! Whenever I have a partythey will always be the one to cater! Great food and awesome service and staff is also awesome!!!! This is a fun place. They had a couple playing music. I sat at the bar with a couple friends. My first time there. They have... a french fry dish that is out of this world. They have braised beef on them, as well as lots of other things. The decor is evenfun. For a bar restaurant place it was well lite. As always I will be honest. I did not like my Rueban Sandwich at all. It wasa poor excuse for one. So don't order one. There are many other things they do well. The entertainment was great! This pricesweren't bad.
