Fantastic beers in a fantastic space. We visited from London and found Half Acre to be right up the for the best beers in the... city. The taproom serves up extremely tasty brews in a well designed space, drawing people in from across the city and muchfurther afield. A well-stocked store answers all your take-out and merch needs, good luck escaping without popping in. Wellworth the trip north. Read more

A Chicago staple that’s been around for years. Their beer is always top notch and the service is great! They’ve historically... tended to focus on IPAs which are always fantastic and well balanced, but lately they’ve had more offerings such as lagers andothers which come highly recommended as well! Plenty of space in their beer garden too! They have a small food menu, mostly barsnacks and sandwiches. Usually at least one or two vegan options too. Always worth checking out! Read more

I’ve been reading a lot lately about Half Acre and just how amazing their beers are. As such I’ve had it on my radar for a... while now to visit. Here are my thoughts: The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. The staff were friendly but not superattentive. The beer was well made and delicious. All that said I ended up going with a 4/5 as they didn’t have an extensivebeer menu. It likely rotates frequently but it was disappointing for someone that doesn’t make it out often. Read more

Half Acre is one of the best breweries to visit in Chicago. Consistently great beer and cool atmosphere. Easy to park. Servers... were very attentive and hip. You feel like you are a part of something when you can see where the beer gets made, barreled andcanned. A beer enthusiasts dream. Read more

I can't wait to go back again already. So good! The beers are fantastic, as you can expect from Half Acre. My favorite was the... smoking gull, which I purchased a 4-pack of afterwards. For food I had the spicy chicken sandwich, which totally hit the spot. The fries were great. And they played good music! Read more

The first thing I noticed (after the fact that they have a parking lot) is the sweet smell of brewing beer, grain, wort, and... whatever else is in the air that tells you that you're in a (huge) production brewery with a very welcoming taproom. We grabbeda table, told our server Samantha that we were looking to try all the Keeping Together beers (before they're gone), and got somecheese curds to start. A few wine glasses of beer and a shared brat later, and I was enjoying the vibe of the Balmoral locationall the more. Time flies when you're having good beer, so last call felt early (at 9:30) for a Friday night, but luckilySpiteful is right next door, and open an hour later! Read more

Not pictured is literally the greatest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely demolished. Everything was... perfect about it. Spice level, cool slaw and these dynamite pickles. Perfect compliment to some fire beers. Guy serving us wasalso amazing/super knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Cares about the food, beer and making us feel right at home while face deepin beer and chicken. Cheers! Read more

A wonderful space with a warm and welcoming vibe. Special shout-out to the staff. They work well together to provide an amazing... experience. My first time was for a beer pick-up and I was super excited to find out they use dark matter coffee beans. The icedchai latte was perfect and the pastries... THE PASTRIES!!! A special treat during the early quarantine days of covid. I couldn'twait to go back and I'm so happy that I have many times. They do it all and do it so well. The beer is always on point, butexpect to fall in love with the food. Bring friends who are willing to share their food. We like to share a salad and apps thenargue over who gets to order the chicken sandwich or cheeseburger. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Evenif you're not local, make the journey and treat yourself. It'll be worth the 50 minutes you spend in traffic. Thank you, HalfAcre. I'll miss Lincoln, but Balmoral has my heart. Read more
