AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend for any event you're having. We worked with Andy from Hearty Boys for our wedding reception. We... asked them if we could do some Indian food at our reception even though they didn't have it on the menu. They asked us whichpart of India we were from and did some research prior to our tasting and cooked some Indian dishes for us which were soauthentic. We then wanted Indian fusion dishes and our guests still talk about how good and creative they were to this day. I can't believe it's taken me so long to leave Hearty Boys a review but it's probably because I don't even know where to begin... with how incredible they are! We originally planned to have our wedding in April 2020 but like many other couples, ended upbeing postponed multiple times. I can't even begin to explain how amazing, understanding, and reassuring Andy was throughoutthis process. It felt like he was there with us every step of the way and gave us so much peace of mind throughout every littlehiccup. His communication and assistance (even with other areas of the wedding) was so beyond helpful and I'm not sure what wewould have done without him. When we finally got to have our celebration in April 2022, David was onsite with us and WOW, wecouldn't have asked for more! David's attention to detail was phenomenal - he helped keep us on track throughout both theceremony and reception, coordinated with other vendors seamlessly, and was just incredibly kind and caring and helped us feel atease throughout a day that can be super stressful. He made sure we got some time alone before the reception and thoughtfully hada selection of our passed appetizers waiting for us! Andy also made a point to stop by during our reception, which was so kindand shows you how much everyone at Hearty Boys truly cares about the couples they work with. Now, onto the food. After ouroriginal tasting I already knew that the food was going to be phenomenal but hearing it from our guests too was just the icingon the cake! When we chat with people now even 6 months after our wedding, they still bring up how delicious the food was! Iknow many of our friends and family members even went up to get seconds?it's that good! I cannot say enough about how much I loved working with the Hearty Boys. Hearty Boys recently catered my wedding and they did an... outstanding job. Food was one of our main priorities for the wedding. We wanted to serve food that was comforting yet elegant.The Hearty Boys delivered just that. Literally every guest that I have spoken with complimented the food. They can't stoptalking about how good it was! We had a mixed ethnicity wedding and many of my guests are not accustomed to traditional Westerndishes, but they LOVED the food at our wedding. We went with a buffet and I saw many guests go up for seconds (and thirds!). Ontop of that, the team was incredibly responsive and professional. We used Hearty Boys for our wedding and had the absolute best experience. My now-husband and I are huge foodies, so finding the... right caterer was the decision that was the most important to us in wedding planning. First of all, Andy is amazing. I spoke toa lot of caterers, but could immediately tell that Hearty Boys was different. There was so much time & attention put to ourtastes and preferences as a couple and they even built our suggested menu based off of one of our favorite restaurants inChicago. From the initial call to the tasting, we felt at ease at how much knowledge and expertise Andy and his team had. Theyare completely seasoned professionals at what they do. They were also very familiar with our venue and able to help us planwedding day details (things we would have NEVER thought about!) to make cocktail hour and reception a perfect experience for ourguests. And the FOOD! I got so many compliments from guests saying that our menu was the best wedding food they've ever had, andwe saw so many empty plates to back that up. The food was delicious and the team also went to great lengths to help usaccommodate guests with dietary restrictions. We used Hearty Boys for our March 2022 wedding! I truly do not have enough positive words to shower this team with! We worked... with Alyson Green and she was incredible! We ended up making a few changes after our tasting and with no trouble at all shemade the adjustments. When I tell you people couldn't stop talking about our food, THEY COULD NOT STOP. We selected a beef,salmon, and a farro dish all three of which were received incredibly well by guests! I was a little nervous about two guestswith life threatening allergies but Alyson kindly and patiently walked me through their entire process for ensuring safety. Evencreating my table assignments was simplified by Alyson and her team. It is extremely evident that they are a well oiled machineand handled everything perfectly. Additionally, day of my stomach was so nervous I wasn't able to eat my dinner. She ensuredthat it was packed up so I could eat it later and she also brought me a drink to sooth my stomach! We are so happy we hired Hearty Boys for our wedding at the Cultural Center! We worked with Andy and his assistant David to plan... our special day. First and foremost, the food was DELICIOUS. We loved being able to work with Andy to curate our menu - welanded on an Italian buffet and everyone raved about the eggplant parm. Andy was extremely responsive, detail oriented, andprofessional. He helped us select the perfect chairs, linens, and food presentation to complement our reception at the ChicagoCultural Center. On the wedding day, the venue looked beautiful, and the event ran smoothly with no issues. We had a largewedding (210 guests), and the staff got people through the buffet line quickly. In addition, there was NEVER a line at the bar(and I can assure you that people were drinking). I got so many compliments on the staff from my guests. We used Hearty Boys for our wedding catering and can't recommend them (and Andy) enough! Andy was so amazing to work with every... step of the way - from spending an hour on the phone with us for initial exploration meetings to hosting us for the mostbeautiful, tasty and elegant tasting that made us feel so special and excited for the big day, to DELIVERING on our wedding dayin every way he promised he would. In my experience, wedding food can be so meh and I never remember my meal or think about itagain, but we still have guests commenting on how good our food was and they RAVE about the short rib. Andy was so accommodatingto our needs, going above and beyond offering lots of tips from his experience (and he's transparent in telling you what's worththe extra investment and what to pass on). He became more like a friend and confidante throughout the whole process. Our venue had a set list of caterers we were allowed to work with and Hearty Boys was the one that fit our needs the best. I'm a... vegetarian and my husband is a meat eater, so we wanted something not stuffy that was also delicious for vegetarian options. Wehad some communication fumbles with the company through the pandemic and then having us reschedule, but overall Dan and his teamdid a fantastic job at our unique wedding menu. Read more
