I wish I can rate the cooks food separately as the food was great! However, service sucked. There was two young girls. One kept... her nose in her phone. When the place clearly needed some attention. Instead of being on IG she should?ve been cleaning thesyrup jars. As you can tell they brought me one disgustingly sticky. They both decided to sit and have some food while my foodwas sitting on the counter waiting to be handed to me. I kept cool and didn?t say nothing just waited. One girl glanced over tothe counter, she clearly saw my food sitting there and didn?t bother to tell the other waitress it was ready for me. One of thecooks came out from behind the kitchen to let them know there was food waiting. The waitress addressed the cooks rudely when allthey were saying was that the food was ready. They should really be more respectful towards the cooks. I?m a real good tipperbut they didn?t deserve one. I was nice enough to leave $3. Read more

Stopped in for breakfast. I had the chorizo hash with over easy eggs & my husband had the pork belly hash with sunny side up... eggs. My hash was delicious -- the jalapeno & chorizo gave the dish a good kick without being overwhelming. The guac had seenbetter days as that could have been a little fresher, but it was nicely limey, which is how I like it. My husband enjoyed hishash, though I noticeably had far more chorizo in mine than he had pork belly in his. When we went, it was cash-only, which wasposted on the door so we knew that going in. To those who have rated this goldmine less than 5 stars ... WHO HURT YOU?! I would challenge every one of you to a duel to... defend the honor of this establishment! In all seriousness, consider applying my #1 restaurant rule: Always try someplace twice- you might have gone on an off night. Jam N' Honey is a place worth going to over and over again - we couldn't stop talkingabout it! This was the only place my friend and I even considered stopping at twice during our trip to Chicago; the food andhospitality was so above-and-beyond - it gives me hope in humanity! Kasia was our waitress; she was very welcoming andinformative and an absolute joy to be around! She was right when she said that we'd be back! We also met Gigi, one of theco-owners who heard about me weeping over their Oatmeal Pancakes! (Easily the best thing I have ever tasted - I cried, this dishis a religious experience. I'm not a particularly religious person but, I saw god and they exist in the form of a pancake inthis little diner!) Seriously, they're so good I ordered some to take back home to Louisville! We also tried the ChickenTortilla Soup - which my friend doesn't usually care for - but they liked it so much that they ordered it specifically on oursecond stop before we left the city. This is a required stop when I come to Chi in the future (... unless you ever decide youwant to open a location in Louisville)! All the best fortune to everyone here and to the random girl who suggested we try thisplace out! I will be back! Read more

OMG this place is amazing. I have been here many many times and I always look forward to my next visit. If you?re looking for a... good breakfast in the city this is definitely a winner. It?s not an overpriced Brunchie plates but good quality breakfast foodat affordable prices. If you have kids family visiting it?s a great experience for them as well. Read more

The food was good but don't expect refills often and it feels cramped but the staff are kind and welcoming. Worth a try

The food was super fresh here! I got the chorizo hash and it was delicious, had plenty of leftovers as well. Keep in mind this... place is cash only. It also gets noisy once it starts to fill up. Read more

This place is great. I've been here a couple times and I don't mind returning. I ate outside. My server, Mallory, was patient.... They don't put Nutella jars on the table anymore for safety/health reasons. They did not have crab at the time so I didn't getto enjoy the crab Benedict. The pictures are the stuffed French toast and veggie burrito. Read more
