Enjoyed my birthday dinner here last night (10/8) and it was exceptional. Our group of six started with their Queso/charred... bread and guacamole/chips; both outstanding. Our cocktails and mock-tails were delicious; I enjoyed the Floridita…highlyrecommend. Dinner came and we enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, el pastor, carne asada, tamal andcarnitas….OUTSTANDING!! Our server was top-notch; very knowledgeable and attentive. He had a great disposition, the food wastimed well and arrived piping hot. We sat by the open fire kitchen which was fun to watch. Overall, another exceptionalexperience at a Rick Bayless restaurant. Not your typical Mexican restaurant! Very creative take on the branzino/bass (worth mentioning the sauces that they pair it... with) and fall off the bone short ribs. Great beer selection too! Highly recommended. :) Read more
This was my first time to Leña Brava and it did not disappoint. We ordered one of each food item on the happy hour menu. I... don't have a specific recommendation because they were equally delicious. Additionally, we ordered the al pastor which is onlyavailable on Fridays and Saturdays. I highly recommend this dish, wow! For drinks, we had a daisy, smoked watermelonmargarita, vienna lager, and a Mexico calling - all delicious. Staff friendly and prompt, we will back next time we are inChicago! Read more
Some of the best ceviche I can count on in the area. Make reservations early because now that it's gorgeous outside again it... will be harder and harder to get a table. I ordered a chicken dinner with a jalapeño cream sauce. The chicken was cooked so freaking perfect. I didn't need the cream... sauce! Dessert was yummy ???? Drinks were flowing and refreshing. Great place to eat. Read more
Just amazed at this place! The wood fire oysters were fire!! The ceviche was also really good! The side of plantains were... delicious but the cream felt too heavy and overpowering. Thanks for making my birthday special!! Read more
Went for HH and was not disappointed. Got all their Apps(~$5), the white wine was immaculate. My friends got Margaritas and they... were just as tasty. We also got some items from their large plate menu and we loved them all. Highly recommend. The ambience is10/10 and feels so cozy in there! Read more
