This is a long overdue review but this place is 10/10. I hosted my birthday party here and Lisa the event planner was... incredible. She was so easy to work with and was sweet enough to even stop by the party and make sure everything was goingsmoothly. The staff were super friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. (This review is strictly for the LushDogs pop-up at Hot Dog Fest this year. I tried my best looking for someone to directly... complain to but the websites provide no such contact.) Lush did a terrible job at Hot Dog Fest today. 2 separate order lineswith no set waiting area, so people were crammed in the middle, waiting 15+ minute ticket times! For sausages!! (I understandthe mustard frothing, but it was slammed when I got there and sausages had been well on the grill.) Two separate lists werebeing made for orders and in the end, they got so slammed that they were giving other peoples' orders away. I heard from a goodfriend that Jon is an encased meats genius, and I had just enough time to grab a good lunch before I had to report to the stagethere. I waited a good 25 minutes before I started seeing my band members on stage and I had to ditch my prospects of eating adelicious looking brisket sausage. When I had returned, everything had been sold out and that service could return in "an hour?"I went some yards down and had a delicious duck dog handed to me in less than 2 minutes, but it wasn't the same. I understandgood ingredients take time to prepare, but at a festival like this, everything has to be GOOD TO GO. What were you guys doing,back there? Fix those systems, please!! I had to play a show on an empty stomach when I didn't have to, and that is downrightawful. Read more
This place is a hidden gem. The food menu is truly amazing (although it’s not huge as they don’t have a full kitchen). Staff... are super nice and you can take anything you want from the store and have them open the wine for you, but the menus of beers,cocktails and a wine is more than enough to satisfy you. Even managed to find buck-a-shuck oysters when we came. Check out theresuper cute outside area with a mural than took months to make for your perfect insta moment and some cute string lights and asecluded unique date venue outside but out of the wind. It’s a great place, highly recommended. Also strongly recommend to trythe veggie burger. It’s a mix of grain and mushroom but tastes more like real meat than some of the fake meat you get! Read more
We have been coming to lush for years, but more recently we have been being served by Sabrina, who is absolutely wonderful. She... will help you choose a wine or spirit without making your feel like a lost soul amidst the 1000s of wine options. She is veryattentive and sweet, and will make your table feel special. If you happen to be in West Town, definitely stop at Lush and have adrink, ask for Sabrina ???????? Read more
The wine was good. The environment (when I went) was a tad disorganized. The individuals prepping food put trays in areas not... associated with high end wine bars. They just sat it on a container at the bar. It appears the owner was eating chicken nearthe front door after taking my card and check but never brought it back. He continued to eat chicken next to the front doorwithout giving card and check back after processing. If I was a customer, the first thing I don’t want to see is somethingeating behind the counter. Especially when you charge $24 a glass (the wine was worth it but doesn’t align to a culture thatso unsophisticated that they eat at the entrance of their own establishment). I doubt I’ll be ver come back. I will notrecommend this place. I want love places to succeed but when they do not deliver I cannot enforce such a slow, incompetent anddisorganized established. Drinks and food are great. The employees are very nice and polite. Recommend this place as this is a great spot to hang out.
