I got the Cajun Blackened Burger ($15 after tax and tip) which was delicious and generous portion. I asked for medium and they... definitely delivered. The patty was juicy and smoky, just to my likings. The only downside is the Cajun Blackened flavor didn'tquite come through but I would still recommend you to try it out once, especially if you're in the area! Read more

Really good raspberry pastry and coffee from the bakery! Went there a couple days ago for breakfast. Nice place to sit outside.... Would only recommend getting some plant pots in the area for a better aesthetic Read more

I ordered a thin crust sausage and half pepperoni pizza. The pizza was cold when I received it and honestly nasty. I will never... come back to this restaurant it wasn?t worth the money or time spent ordering. There was barely any pepperoni on the pizza asyou can see from the photo. When I walked in to pickup the order the people behind the counter were very rude. They took foreverto find my order then forgot my 2 orders of fries. I was asked about five times if I already paid for my order which Irepeatedly my responded with yes. It?s like they thought I was trying to steal from the establishment. This restaurant is veryunorganized and does not have good food at all. Read more

I had the personal pepperoni pizza that is always delicious and my sister had the "garbage" pizza. We both enjoyed our pizzas... and they were HUGE! I however did not like the apple pie. The crust was to thick, no juice and it lacked a good Cinnamon/sugarratio. Read more

Really fun atmosphere and really good food. I had the Garbage burger but it wasn't garbage! No sir! Or Ma'am. My wife had a... sandwich with fig jam and manchego cheese with gluten free bread which she really enjoyed. Read more

I have been going to Medici for decades, now. Since before the bakery had it's own location. Their cinnamon rolls and croissants... are some of my favorite in the city. I don't make it to Medici as much as I'd like to anymore, but I always try to stop by whenI'm in Hyde Park. They do have a lot of grab and go salads/sandwiches, etc. as well. Read more

For $43.36 for 2 sandwiches, you would expect a top notch take out, but this was a big disappointment for the second time... around. The $17 ?steak? sandwich had a paper thin cut of super dry piece of meat and 10? thick cut of bread. The tuna was decentsize but poor presentation. Food was ordered at 4:05, picked up at 4:35, and at 4:50 it was cold, fries were soggy, and on thetop of this they wanted to charge me $1.75 for a side of ranch dressing. They did ?exchange? my spicy Mayo for a side of ranchat no charge. Wow!! Gracious. My dine in experience before Covid time was great. But for the take out I would go elsewhere!!!!Sorry, not for $44. This place has an old school charm about it. Very popular with the University of Chicago folks and Hyde Park locals alike. We... had chicken fettuccine and a smokey joe sandwich with coleslaw this time. We enjoyed both the dishes. This place also has nicepizza, milkshakes, etc. There is a takeaway area that is always a line. That just shows the place is good. Read more
