This place was great! The food, drinks, and service, definitely made the drive out from the suburbs, completely worth it. We... tried both the beef and chicken empanadas for an appetizer, and then the Cuban sandwich and steak jibarito for our main dish,and finished off with a cafe con leche. All of it was delicious! Fantastic little Cuban restaurant with plenty of character. Very colorful establishment very hard to miss, polite and efficient... staff. The choice of ingredients is pretty good and they have a good menu selection. Must try the classic Cubano and yuccafries. Watch out for the men's bathroom door as it springs back very hard. One of the best places I've been to in a long time! First off, as soon as I walked in I was welcomed by either the manager or... owner, sorry I didn't get her name. She made me feel at home and steered me in the right direction. When presented with themenu she couldn't recommend highly highly enough the chicken jiberito...which turned out to be one of the best tastingsandwiches I've ever had! It was made fresh and served on a plantain with green peppers, onions, garlic and a few othervegetables, along with a special sauce made of vinegar. Talk about a flavor sensation! Next time though I'm ordering theempanadas, after seeing a picture of it on the menu. I'm sure they taste delicious and are filling. Can't wait to go backhere! Read more
We were out for a celebration, and we stumbled across this restaurant. My family and I had never tried Cuban food, so we were a... little nervous about it, but we took a chance and went for it. All I have to say is that we don?t regret our decision, the foodwas AMAZING, and the service was the cherry on top, staff were patient and even explained what every dish had with such a greatattitude! 100% RECOMMEND!! We had the ropa vieja with tostones and maduros and it was so great! We got our food very fast, it was hot and savory and just... so good. The service was great as well. We had café con leche to go and I can say I?ll be up for a while. It?s strong sweet andmade just right. The one thing I would say is that the garlic sauce for the tostones was a tad too sour for me.
