Food is usually pretty good, Customer Service especially from older gentleman Owner is Fantastic!, but unfortunately younger... owner possibly son!? His Customer Service was Absolutely! Terrible!, not attentive at all and gave an attitude when I simplyasked to check on my order because I had already been patiently waiting quite a while! Then ignored me for a while longer beforehe Finally! decided to check on it. He didn't offer an apology for long wait and didn't even seem to care either...VeryDisappointing experience. Read more
My fellow out of towners, if you are staying in this area and want to eat some good Chicago food, look no further. If you have... children like I do , you know we can't drive 30 mins to a place that may or may not have Chicago's "best" gyro, Italian beefsandwich or other Chicago favorite. Mr. Gees was less than 10 mins away and had such a variety. I tried their chicken andregular gyro. I also had an Italian beef. You will be asked if you want it spicy or sweet and dipped or dry. I ordered minespicy and dry. Not a fan of soggy bread but to each his own. Everything had great flavor. I can't say that the gyros tasted likethe most authentic Greek gyros. All I know is that they were good. Prices are a plus. About $7 per sandwich. The people workingthere are very friendly and helpful for those of us that might not know what to order. I saw many regulars come in and chat withthe employees. Dont be surprised if the employees spark up a conversation while you wait. If you're staying close to Mr. Gees ,don't go to a fast food place, give this neighborhood favorite a try. I almost forgot , this place has a parking lot with plentyof parking so no need to parallel park on the street. Read more
Yesterday I ordered 2 filly steak with fries. Not onlydid they forget to add Xtra Mayo and meat they not only not follow... directions they also had barely any meat. . When came back from work and apartment hunting it was too late to call. Called todayon my lunch break break and the owner was horrible. Asked why I didn't call him until 24 ours later. I'm like this is insane. Ialso feel Carlo's post as well it's Racially profileing. If you need an even better restaurant just comment on here. I have aton to choose. Boycott this business don't give him a single dime. Racism has to stop somewhere. Read more
