Good place to get a drink and watch a game, especially a Michigan State game. BUT, the food is awful. Our burgers were burnt on... the outside and raw on the inside. They even overcooked our funnel cake. So, until they fix the mess going on in the kitchen (ifthey fix it), just stick with the liquids. Read more
Municipal is my go to bar for MSU games! They are always so accommodating, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you... are taken care of! I go there religiously and have never had a bad experience. I can't help but respond to the previous reviewabout the music. It's a bar in River North, so it is going to be loud, but I have never experienced it so loud that I couldn'tcarry on a conversation with the people around me. I highly suggest coming here! Read more
I was so excited to come here to watch MSU, but I’m also excited to hang out with my friends. The music is SO LOUD that I... currently have a headache. And honestly, my friend’s 80 yr old parents are complaining and they’re probably partially deafalready. What has been an enjoyable experience just got bloody awful because of the DJ. I really wish I could enjoy the musicAND talk with my friends. Note to owner: I changed my review to 3 stars, because I was honestly really angry when I wrote it.The food is good, everyone. The service was great. My "preference" for my table to not be in physical pain (and maybe it's justwhere my table was located) and not to scream at, or text each other just so we could chat during commercials, made it notenjoyable for all of us.
