Our first time ordering. We always support black business owners especially restaurants. The food was horrible ????????. The... dressing taste it like burn sage, The salmon was dry. Greens were over cooked. Shrimp and chicken gumbo had no favor. We wasted$52 on garbage, I would never order from here again, I don’t recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of money. So I went there for the first time really looking forward to the mac and cheese and the banana pudding because that's one of my... childhood favorites and I went there and I ordered at 6:30 and the place close at 7:00 p.m. and I called my order in and I wantto try the buttermilk chicken the collard greens the mac and cheese and the garlic wings and I said you know what I want to trythe crab cakes . So I got there at 7:00 and my food still wasn't ready I didn't receive it until 7:15 p.m. and when I got myorder it was missing the collard greens instead I got cabbage that had no flavor my mac and cheese tasted like it was reheatedin the microwave before given to me my buttermilk chicken then taste like buttermilk fried chicken at all tasted like it wasfried and season tossed on top of it and nothing to do with buttermilk. The garlic parmesan wings we're good just a touch toosalty and too much sauce the banana pudding now now now if I could write that banana pudding separately I get it a tooth soggybananas was off the cookies was way too moist I will give this place a second chance because I believe this place has potentialbut I don't believe these are Grandma recipes or her original Grandma recipes Read more

Ordered for the 1st time and did not disappoint! Had the garlic and Herb chicken with Mac and cheese and smashed potatoes. Also... got the Ceaser salad. Chicken needed a bit more seasoning in my opinion. But overall, it was delicious. Will be ordering fromthere again and try the other meals. Good thing I live so close ???? Read more

Tried this new soul food spot last night and really enjoyed it. We shared the Jerk Chicken meal with Grandma’s Greens and Mac... & Cheese, as well as an order of Vegetarian Lasagna. Everything was fresh and flavorful - generous portions, too. They evenoffered my son and me a sample of their banana pudding while we waited, which was excellent too. Looking forward to orderingfrom them again. 12/17 Update: Ordered from Outside the Box again for carryout and it was once again amazing. Did the JerkChicken again with Mac and Cheese and Sweet Potatoes, along with an order of Fried Green Tomatoes - everything wasoutstanding. I initially tried to place an order by phone but never got an answer - when I walked in they were happy to take myorder, which was ready in about 20 minutes.
