Mixed views. I want to love this place but I feel as if something goes wrong each time. It’s either the waiter is rude or the... kitchen messes up. My most recent experience the waiter was nice but seemed to be preoccupied to come check on us. I orderedmy usual dish which is gnocchi percorni with vodka sauce. When we got the dish, I noticed that it was missing the chicken andthe asparagus tips. I tried to flag down the waiter to ask if there was a mistake. He said he was going up to check with thekitchen since he said it should have the chicken and the asparagus in there. The vodka sauce here has always been good so Icontinued to enjoy my meal just thinking they made an error and it was by accident(honestly not the end of the world). Thewaiter came back about 20 mins later stating the kitchen made the dish the correct way and nothing was wrong. This was a bitupsetting if a mistake is made just apologize and move on. Not sure how the kitchen is going to remember the dish after 20mins. Giving the place 3 stars since the food isn’t always bad and the staff isn’t always rude. Got deserts from here whichwere good (guess that kind of makes up for it) Read more

Beautiful restaurant! Staff is great. We ordered braciole, a childhood favorite of mine. I was disappointed by this version, it... was overly dry and the filling was nowhere to be found. This is only a small hiccup because the Rigatoni ala vodka we also gowas top notch!! 10/10 good. Our friends were also extremely happy with their entrees. Read more

Wanted some home made pasta and paid a visit to D'Arte! Came in for lunch and it was very quiet with nobody in, so we had extra... peace. Service was proffessional and helpful, server who could be manager or even owner was great guy, helped us thru menu andmade us comfortable. I was debating between ravioli with lobster or rigatoni vodka, but went with vodka. Dishes looked fancy andportions were huge. Vodka had great tomato garlic sauce and it had a great kick because of prosciutto! The special pasta weordered was with prosciutto, goat cheese, pepper, spinach and dry fig! What a crazy combination, something I never tried before, bit sweet, but such an great experience! Can't wait to go back and try out some other home made pasta! Read more

Outstanding food, and a wonderful staff. We went on a busy Saturday night. Had a drink at the bar, then the head chef came out... to take care of us personally since we were waiting for a while. We did not mind hanging out at the bar, or waiting for ourtable, however he still wanted my make sure we had a great experience. The food was some of the best Italian we’ve had inChicago. Definitely recommend trying! Read more
