Beautiful location for a coffee house! During our visit to Chicago, we stopped by Peet?s Coffee for a quick coffee... break. Despite being too crowded on labor day weekend, their service was fairly quick. We ordered Hot Cappuccino for the 4 ofus as it was quite a windy day. I would give this a 3/5. We ordered the tropical green tea. The tropical green tea was watered down and didn?t have any tropical... element. The other drink we orders was a Carmel frappe it didn?t have much ice which was the downfall of the drink. Also thewhip cream wasn?t our favorite The best was the strawberry lemonade tea was good. There is something so convenient about chain coffee locations. They are always right there when you need them. I enjoy a... Starbucks cup of coffee, but on a recent trip to Chicago, our hotel was closest to a Peet's. After a quick peruse of the menu, Irealized the menu is quite similar to Starbucks - both coffee and bakery items. I order an iced sugar free vanilla latte fromStarbucks, and this drink was comparable in flavor. I also ordered the Turkey Bacon and White Cheddar breakfast sandwich -identical to Starbucks. The menu at Peet's did include something they called Jelly. I don't quite have a handling on what thisdoes for a caffeinated beverage, but the options appeared endless with what you could include this in. My sister, mom and Ienjoyed this Saturday morning coffee and breakfast stop around 8:30am. It was not all that busy for being located on MichiganAvenue. We sat inside, but there is quite a bit of outdoor seating available as well. They do offer a restroom for customersonly, and you do have to request the code from the barista. They had advertisement for lavender muffins but someone forgot to take the sign down cause that flavor is seasonal. ... ???????? Scones were ok. Cranberry pistachio delicious! Iced brown sugar matcha awesome!! Workers very friendly. There is acoded bathroom. Really glad they have one for customers. Appreciate that, hard to walk around in Chicago and you're not surewhere you can find a restroom! Read more
