Very nice set up the food was absolutely amazing! Place was smaller than I expected. We visited on a weekday and though it was busy, there was no wait. I would recommend making... reservations if you’re coming on the weekend. Great vibe. The food was delicious. A bit overpriced but very flavorful. I wouldcome again. Read more
I finally was able to review Phlavs on Maxwell, and I would honestly give them 4/5. The food was good if you’re looking for... comfort bar food, and their signature Alfredo is definitely a fan favorite. I would recommend the Buffalo chicken rolls as anappetizer, and for an entree I would recommend the jerk Alfredo and the salmon Alfredo. As far as service, our waiter was veryfriendly and had good customer service. We had a small issue with the first batch of Buffalo chicken rolls coming out toocrispy, so we asked our waiter for a new batch that wasn’t fried too hard and she delivered a new batch fresh and hot. On theother hand, the cocktails that we ordered were too strong, so we chose not to drink them. We asked our waiter to remove themfrom our bill since we didn’t drink the cocktails due to the heavy pour, and she informed us that their policy states thatthey can’t adjust a drink once it’s ordered. So we were stuck with the drinks on our tab unfortunately. Overall the vibe iscool. They play a mixture of R&B and Hip Hip, and the decor is unique. The loaded fries were tasty. The jerk sauce is hot, but not too hot that it loses any flavor. Music was good and everyone was... having a good time. The only downside, closing hours for the day I went we’re not reflected on their website/google so we hadto eat pretty fast. Read more
Very good food and our server was excellent. I got the Chicken Tips with mild and jerk sauce, but I prefer the mild sauce since... I don't like a ton of spicy food. The music and vibe was very good as well. I will definitely be back to try other things on themenu in order to get better idea of all their foods. The restroom is very clean as well, but the parking in the area is verylimited, so be prepared to walk to the restaurant. Read more
Vibe was what was up! That jerk pasta ????- might be the best pasta ever and they are not afraid of giving sauce! ????... do.you.hear.me? The drinks were okay. We had the strawberry Hennessy which wasn’t great but wasn’t horrible! The thing Ididn’t like the most was how the tickets can’t be more than 2 payments so it’s not a place that you and your friends(unless it’s two) would want to go to! $300+ for our table and $150+ for our second table (7 at one and 4 at the other). Itwas a debacle trying to get check separated! I opted out to eat because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of dividingthat too! I love the vibe of the bar. It is very nice. Food was accurately priced for the location of the bar. I did not like being given... a plastic fork to eat my food without a sealed wrapper. I ordered the salmon Alfredo it wasn’t horrible but I didn’t finishmy food because my salmon tasted extremely dry and my Alfredo noodles had little to no taste. There were no salt shakersavailable on our tables either. Our waitress however was helpful and kind. Read more
