Excellent food, helpful staff, lively environment. 5 o'clock on a Friday doesn't sound like a time you'd think a downtown... Chicago restaurant would be slammed, but this was a destination spot. Inside or out on the patio you have a great view of theriver and a sense of being connected to the river vibe. The menu is definitely a chic Mediterranean, but there's flavor andsubstance to match up with the style. Would recommend. Read more
The location cannot be beat — it costs $10 extra to sit near the water though (well worth it). Surprisingly the ambiance and... decoration was even nicer than RPM Seafood right upstairs. The food was pretty good and vegetarian friendly — we had themushroom truffle pizza which I liked. Overall I’d recommend for a non offensive Italian dinner if you want a great ambiance. Read more
Absolutely fantastic location, right on the water's edge of Chicago River looking across to the River walk. Went for an early... dinner on our last day in Chicago and had reserved a table the night before on the balcony. Tartare and fries were good appetizers. The pizza is good wood fire style, nothing to rave about. The cocktails and appetizers... were the highlight of the meal for me. The server was very friendly. Took my significant other here on Sunday the 13th to celebrate an early Valentines day and it was delicious. To start off, the... Truffle fondue was so flavorful. The pasta with vodka sauce was so creamy and smooth, especially with the burrata and the basilmade it light and tasty. The Fresca pizza was amazing. It was light and refreshing and the crust was crispy to my liking. Theentire meal was amazing. To top it all off, the view was gorgeous! I highly recommend this place. It was a night to remember. You will have to reserve in advance if you want a river view, but the view from this restaurant is perfect. The portions are... small to medium for pasta, and you can probably split a pizza between two people. The ambience inside is beautiful and serviceis quick.
