As a Polish Texan, I visited Chicago for the first time and was told I need to try this place and it did not disappoint. I got... the Emparogi and Kielbasa Perro and WOW! So delicious. Not only was the food amazing but the owners were working the restaurantthemselves and were so incredibly kind, you can tell they love what they do and their passion for it shines in their food.Highly recommend! Outstanding. Tasty and great value. Emparogi was excellent mix of short rib with delicate empanada like pastry and ahi cream. ... Mmm good! Sal-CHI-papa hit the spot with perfect combination of Polish sausage, potatoes and Polombia sauce. Pineapple finishmakes the meal. Owner is always there ensuring the highest quality. Incredible! Now a true staple in the time out market! Got a chance to try some of everything from the emparogi to to the salichi... papas everything was delicious and fresh. Such an awesome fusion! The owners are amazing and I’m always happy to come in andsay hello and have some delicious bites to eat! Can’t forget to add on one of the yummy exotic soda pop fromColombia! I visited the Timeout Market with my friend in Chicago and was excited to see the fusion of Polish and Colombian cuisine at... Polombia. I ordered La Zapiekanka and a mango drink which you can see in the pictures attached, and both were amazing! The sauceon top was especially tasty. I also asked Cynthia for suggestions (she gave good ones obvi) and also she was SO nice! I live3ish hours away but have a lot of friends in Chicago and will definitely be coming back to try more on their menu! 10/10 forfood and friendliness! Read more
Firstly, the owner of this restaurant located in Time Out Market Chicago is incredibly warm and friendly. Out of all the folks... at the market, she was the only proprietor excited to talk about her food and menu. Huge plus! The premise is super fun: Polandmeets Colombia I only tried the Arepa-ski dish today, but I’m looking forward to coming back! The chef was kind enough to letme try one of each Arepa, the chicken and beef. Both were super tasty and inventive. Another plus: my son has a nut allergy andthe chef confirmed she uses no nuts in their kitchen except some Nutella they use in a dessert that is kept separately. Righton!! We were looking for unique spots to feature on our channel and we found Polombia. We love both Colombian and Polish cuisines and... were surprised about how great these cuisines work together. Both dishes that we got were full of flavor and comforting. We onlyregret not trying more items, so hope to go back soon. Read more
Wow!!!!! First time here and definitely will be returning back. Amazing food!!!! Great flavors. I had the Arepa-Ski with chicken... as my protein. I loved it the griddled cornmeal patty with honey ricotta was delicious and that herby green sauce thataccompanied my arepas was so delicious and seasoned properly. I then got the Keilbasa Perro, don’t know where to begin withthis. Yes, basically it’s a hot dog. However. The flavors presented in this dish were absolutely delicious. The bread,signature sauce and pineapple sauce with a very delicious polish sausage. Amazing!!! Probably one of my favorites fromPolombia. Last but not least I got the Sal-CHI-papa, and order of potatoes with sausage, sauces & scallions. I had only wish thepotatoes were fried til they were extremely crispy, however, they were soft which was not my favorite but nonetheless the dishwas great! Amazing flavors in all dishes. The place is located in TimeOut market which is fantastic! That’s about the only positive experience we had here. When we... were placing the order, they seemed to have ran out of their Emparogis and potatoes (usually a good sign as there is highdemand) so we waited. 15 minutes afterwards, the waitress took our order which was supposed to be vegetarian Emparogis, LaZapiekanka, and the Sal-CHA-Papa and a water. Between the confusion of ordering, the wait, and being hungry we just accepted theorder that we had received. We received golden fried potatoes (not what we had ordered) but that isn’t the end of the world.The ‘vegetarian’ Emparogis were as they had meat in them. The only thing that they got right was the vegetarian LaZapiekanka which is for a very particular taste. The pineapple and salsa on top of the lentils do not complement each other dueto the over powering sweet taste. All and all, I would not come here and definitely not recommend this place just for the poorservices, and lack of taste. With the pricing (Emparogis are 5 for $14!), it makes it even harder to recommend as there are manyfantastic restaurants in the area. Read more
