So I went here for the first time using the Too Good to Go app (also for the first time). First off, it was a great amount of... food. They usually price a meal like this at $20, which is honestly a little bit much, but we got it for $4.99, which was anINCREDIBLE deal. The taste? Not bad at all! Mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy. Fish was crispy and well seasoned, a wee bitsalty for my taste, but not horrible in the least. The sweet potatoes, however, were honestly a little meh. But again, notterrible. This is my 3rd time driving to the place and the only time they have been open despite the hours listed online and the door. I... came about 2 - 2 1/2 hours before closing and they were out of most of the items. I ordered vegan catfish dinner vegan mac and cheese and vegan chicken alfredo as the sides. The food was spicy even things that shouldn't be the mac and cheese had a kickto it. Might be great for someone who likes spicy seasoning but ridiculous for those that don't. The vegan catfish tasted as ofit were refried in old oil. It was dry and spicy! Not edible. The sides were good but had an unnecessary kick that just tookaway from the dish. This was the most disgusting food that I have had in a long time. The jumbo fried shrimp still had the shrimp shell underneath... the fried skin. What?s the point of fried shrimp if you have to peel off the shell which also peels of the fried part? The potroast and Mac and cheese was swimming in grease and had no taste at all. The dressing was so dry that it crumbled into crumbsand I tried to eat it with a spoon but it tasted like someone dumped the entire bottle of sage in it. The yams were not sweet atall. I couldn?t eat anything but the string beans and the only reason why I got that was because they didn?t have the greensready for the Uber eats driver.
